Location was good-close to amenities and a short journey to the seafront. Quiet area, no road noise. Room was immaculately decorated, very well presented, and perfect size for two people. Bed was comfortable with a good supply of bedding and pillows. Cleanliness was obvious throughout. Hosts were polite, informative and friendly. Breakfast was outstanding with a good range of choice and high quality ingredients and presentation.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at High Cliff House in Lynton during our journey through the stunning landscapes of South England. Without a doubt, this was the most beautiful and inviting place we have ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, we were spellbound by the immaculate decor and cleanliness that greeted us. Our room was an absolute delight - spacious, cozy, and impeccably neat. The interior design and breathtaking views from our window left us in awe. We could not have asked for a more delightful setting to unwind and soak in the picturesque surroundings. What truly sets High Cliff House apart is the warmth and kindness of the owners. They were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with anything we needed. We instantly felt at home in their presence, and their genuine hospitality made our stay even more memorable. Regrettably, we couldn't extend our visit as much as we would have liked, as we were captivated by the heavenly breakfast. It was a delight for the senses, and we savored every moment of it. Rest assured, we have already vowed to return to High Cliff House for a longer stay. It's a place that has stolen our hearts, and we cannot wait to relive the enchantment and create more cherished memories. Thank you, High Cliff House, for making our stay an extraordinary one! We wholeheartedly recommend this charming haven to anyone seeking an unforgettable escape amidst nature's beauty and genuine hospitality.

Ness and Phill are the perfect hosts. They are so friendly and helpfull! The breakfast was absolutley phenomanal. Great Eggs Royale with home made warm toast. Also the home made marmalade was excellent. The location of the house couldn't be better. 2 minutes walk to the shops and restaurants in Lynton. From our lovely bedroom we had a view overlooking Lynton. You have the same beautifull view from the living room. Large bedroom, nice big bed and very clean. I would recommend this B&B to everybody.

Lynton and lynmouth are just beautiful places to visit.

Lynton and lynmouth are just beautiful places to visit. Plenty of great pubs and places to eat set in a very picturesque environment. The cliff railway was interesting to ride on and the Exmoor visitors centre was very informative. The valley of rocks was amazing to visit.

Lynton is a lovely small village with all amenities you need. Couple of pubs with good food and drink. Some excellent food restaurants especially the Kensington for steaks. The Green house was brilliant for early morning coffee and fry up. If going to Lynemouth then take the train - walking up and down ( we did both) is brutal and you need to be fit and healthy to do either.

Lynton isn't the easiest place to drive to but well worth the effort. We avoided Porlock Hill (we have a very old car) and used the toll road. It costs £3 but the views are wonderful. Lynton itself has plenty of places to eat, a good Arts and Crafts Centre plus a second-hand community bookshop, as well as lots of other interesting shops. It's a lovely little town just to wander round and of course you have the cliff railway to take you down to Lynmouth.

Lynton is a lovely little town, plenty of eating places. The only down side is the hill getting there, it is very, and the turn into Lynton is very sharp. Choughs Nest Hotel is a lovely place good views, but the breakfast was not up to much for me, and it's the only hotel we've stayed in where you don't get any bottles of water.

Both Lynton and Lynmouth are beautiful villages with many shops, cafes and restaurants. It’s lovely to just walk round in the evening too. There is the added bonuses of the vehicular tram and a cute independent cinema. Lynton is between Minehead and Barnstaple, so you can easily get to anywhere you would like to go in between. It’s a perfect central location.

Very comfortable bed, lovely clean room, excellent breakfast , the yoghurt with muesli and berries offered as a no charge extra was yummy. The home made marmalade was to die for! Probably the best breakfast dining experience I have ever had. Phill and Ness went the extra mile to make sure we were happy and comfortable, such a lovely couple. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend Rockvale house as a base to explore North Devon .

Wonderful cozy family owned hotel. Very unique concept. Food was good, and if you get a chance to taste the tomato soup- go for it. The view from out room was cool as well as the view during breakfast. Steve (the Owner) was super nice, so his wife and his sons. Hope we get the Chance to visit Lynton again.
