Beautiful setting and building Friendly welcoming staff I received a free upgrade which meant I got to stay in the main house. I saw a cosy lounge area for afternoon tea. Beautiful grand staircase. Festive decorations made it really warm and cosy. Attended a party in the stable area. Perfect for a sit down meal for around 60 people. Food was fantastic and hot. Service was excellent Late checkout is 11am which leaves time to enjoy the breakfast from a menu. Not by buffet style. Highly recommend.

Wow, what a difference a new proactive manager has made to this hotel. We had previously stayed at the hotel pre-covid on a number of occasions and had seen the decline in the building so where very presently surprised on the improvements that have been made since we last stayed. Refurbished, clean and comfortable rooms, with new carpet, bedding, T.V's etc. The general ambiance of the property was very welcoming as were the helpful, polite and informative staff. Breakfast was buffet style, delicious and hot with plenty of variety and I had one of the best curries I have eaten in the restaurant for dinner one night. The manager was a delight to speak with and actively sought feedback from guests so that he could continue to improve services. All in all, an excellent stay, and great value for money and will be our first choice on returning to England and Kent.

Townscape is quite tired and run down making it feel a bit unsafe around the edges. Sad because there are remnants of what would have been a lovely location. Francos in the shopping centre does a lovely breakfast! Italian restaurant Vesuvius in Lower Stone Street does lovely food too ..

It was cheap and the location good with free car parking!

It was cheap and the location good with free car parking! However the soap dispenser was empty, the toilet was broken, lights in both the bathroom and main room were not working, electric socket were not working and television reception was appalling so could not be watched! Obviously the room 'had not been checked by anyone' for some time which is worrying. The top of the toilet cistern had come off exposing various attempts with toilet rolls etc to secure the operation of the main handle to no avail, I assume this had been done by staff!

I liked the staff breakfast was good but could of been.hotter as was warm Room.was lovely but needs up dating but ok. And air con should be a consideration as on hot days it was uncomfortable had fans but cannot have them.on allnight

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Not cheap but very unclean & poor standards. No air con. Just a desk fan. Room far too hot. Awful pillows. Asked for extra but didn't get them. Tea & coffee not replenished. Definitely not worth the money!

Was in Maidstone for a funeral,flying visit so didnt see an awful lot of it. Ate at the Newnham Court Inn food was lovely Lamb shank to dye for, also had food in the Windmill absolutely great food breakfast was amazing plenty of it.

I go because my son lives there - Maidstone itself isn’t really a destination but it’s good as a base to explore Kent great road links to Canterbury - Whitstable rural Kent - or a stop off if using the channel tunnel etc

Very friendly and helpful owner, free tea/coffee etc available in well equipped kitchen. Generous size bedroom with comfy bed, desk and chair and small settee, good storage. Excellent quirky pub and several good restaurants / take-aways within 100 yards or so walk. Room just "freshened up" - paint still drying! - when I arrived. Excellent double glazing meant room was quiet despite overlooking busy town centre street. Very good wifi.

It was extremely clean, there were little touches that added to the experience such as a wash pack, tea and coffee, biscuits etc. Kettle, fridge, toaster and microwave. Iron and ironing board. Hair dryer. The location was perfect for me and the addition of parking was fab as it’s a nightmare to park in Maidstone. Was an 8 minute walk to the town centre. I would definitely stay again.

Close to local area and shopping centre. The hotel isn't far from London, so it is easy to commute. The hotel is very clean and the staff was very nice and easy to talk to. The breakfast was good. The rooms were really warm once you turned on the heaters. Good room service.

Hotel staff we're amazing (including Restaurant staff) rooms we're simple but comfortable and had all that you would need (comfy bed, Good shower, TV, AirCon, Kettle etc.) Easy check in and gree parking (plenty of spaces) Free Wi-Fi and 5 minutes walk to town centre.
