A nice central town that is a good place to stay for when you are out exploring the cotsworlds. There's plenty of places to eat, cafes, restaurants and pubs. There is free parking on the front of the shops, but you will have to get there early, to secure a spot. There is also a pay and display car park, and the train station car park is also available. Moreton in Marsh was a convenient location for a side trip from our visit to London. Very easy train access and a very walkable and charming little town. We used this location as a base of operations to tour some other Cotswolds towns and couldn't have been happier.Guest review bySteve - 10.0

Excellent base for exploring the Cotswolds. Easily reached by train. Accomodations mostly in historical buildings along the (busy) main road. Large supermarkets and a lot of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Moreton on marsh is a beautiful town. There’s a market there on Tuesdays. Great places to eat gorgeous fish and chip bar. The black bear Inn fantastic food. Bellini Italian restaurant fantastic. Stay away from the Thai restaurant (SIAM COTTAGE THAI) cold food which we waited 1 hr and 15 minutes for. Service below poor. Plus if you order soft drinks (J2O) they share the bottle between 2 glasses and charge for 2. It is a lovely little town in the Northern Region of the Cotswolds and has a direct train connection to London Paddington Station (1hr 42Min). The room I stayed in was small but comfortable, with tea and coffee and even a small fridge, which I found really helpful. The shared bathroom facilities were sparkling and well cared for. The shower was lovely. The staff were helpful and responsive, even when I was a bit dense about things. Exceptionally clean and comfortable, a charming authentic cotswolds cottage located 50 yards from the town centre. Close enough to walk to local restaurants, but nice and quiet as not on the high street. The cottage is well equipped, couldn't think of anything that is not provided for.
