In an excellent location allowing us to visit some lovely Kent villages. There was a footpath from the property but it had its own lake and outdoor seating area. The accomodation has one double bed and 2 singles. The owners are very understanding about dogs and provide some throws for the furniture. The kitchen is very well equipped. The bathroom has a lovely deep bath and a shower in a wet area.

The staff are all exceptional and could not do enough for us. The George Hotel is old but beautiful with so much character. The breakfast was top quality and everything served with a smile. I throughly enjoyed my stay and would be back. So loved the history of the Hotel and embracing it, loved it, even the wonkly floors and small doors.

In our 6 weeks of travel in UK, this was our absolute favorite lodging. It was perfect. We loved the breakfast, the offering of dinner salads from local produce, afternoon tea, luxurious room, walk to Sissinghurst gardens, view of Sissinghurst tower & sheep pasture from our large “Sissinghurst” room. All the rooms have special names. Gracious, Lovely & accommodating staff and host. Thank you so much for everything!

Rolvenden is a small village with two pubs and a convenience...

Rolvenden is a small village with two pubs and a convenience store. There is also a motorcar museum. The church is pretty. The nearby hamlet Rolvenden Layne has a great pub called the Ewe and Lamb which is well worth a visit although booking a table is advisable. All the surrounding area is worth walking around. The nearby town Tenterden has many restaurants, supermarkets, shops etc. It also has a working Steam railway.
