The accommodation was easy to find with parking available. The rooms and adjoining bathroom were immaculate and very comfortable, with lots of extra touches and amenities. Warm, welcoming hosts whose hospitality was excellent. Breakfast was superb start to the day.

This is THE place to stay in Romsey & area. Never had such a breakfast quality & variety. Because of location you can walk to the bus to other towns, front door is on Romsey Main Street, 2 min walk to best pub. And we were treated fantastic by owners. And very quiet for sleeping. Could not ask for more!

Absolutely amazing value for money, could not fault it for the price we paid. Lovely quiet room, the bed was very comfy! The room and en suite very clean and tidy. I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Would definitely return and recommend!! Staff even left out some candles due to power cut ( which was across the town due to bad weather- no fault of the accommodation)

    The hotel is situated right in the heart of the ancient town...

    The hotel is situated right in the heart of the ancient town. In fact you can hear the clock chiming at the nearby Abbey. Everything is close to hand. There are a number of cafes around the Market place. Apart from the Abbey there is a beautiful park down by the meandering River Test. Apart from the bustling centre Romsey has a laid back feel to it. Very relaxing.

    Romsey is a fine provincial town.

    Romsey is a fine provincial town. Great atmosphere and clearly enjoyed by the locals. Beautiful town architecture topped by the outstanding abbey. Volunteer staff in the church were friendly and knowledgeable. Walks around the town and along the various rivers very picturesque.

    Romsey is a lovely village with Waitrose and Aldi.

    Romsey is a lovely village with Waitrose and Aldi. Plenty of coffee shops. However as we live in Spain we were shocked at the prices. For the price of two coffees and pastries we can buy a 3 course meal. I would recommend visiting Lyndhurst and Winchester.

    Romsey Abbey very interesting, with a helpful gentleman who talked us through the history. Don't miss the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens just outside Romsey. One of the very best and most varied gardens we have ever visited.

    Quiet scenic town with historic church -open during the day. The Hillier garden is massive but a must for serious gardeners. Mottisfont NT fairly small. Rose collection a must in June. Cafe overcrowded and queue for food. We ate at the Bear and Staff instead - standard Pub Grub. Also at the Cromwell Arms in Romsey. Comfortable restaurant and more varied menu choice. Good.

    FREEZING COLD ROOM, WEATHER WAS MINUS SEVEN OUTSIDE. STARVING HUNGRY AS FOOD WAS DREADFUL, SHIVERYING IN A LARGE KING SIZE BED WITH JUST A 4.5 TOG. SHOWER DID NOT WORK, SHOWER DOOR CAME OFF ITS RUNNER AND BRUISED MY LEGS WHEN TRYING TO STOP IT CRASHING ONTO TILED BATHROOM FLOOR. FAWLTY TOWERS SEEMED LIKE A DREAM AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE!!!

    Beautiful barn, tranquil, peaceful, wonderful, with everything you need, set in the most beautiful garden. Excellent location for Southampton, New Forest, we also visited Exbury Gardens. Bed extremely comfy, such a large room. Claire, the host, her welcome was heartfelt, such a wonderful, kind, friendly lady. We will be returning, The Barn is such an awesome find.

    Good communication regarding key collection. Nice, bright, spacious apartment, fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds and settee. Only 15 minute walk into Romsey, shop 5 minute walk away, bus stops 1 minute for Winchester and Southampton. Allocated parking spot. Would definitely stay again.
