Its a beutiful and quite town.
Its a beutiful and quite town. I love the ups and downs and narrow roads. Scenic beauty, beutiful and very clean beaches, lots of restaurants. And the tide spectacle. St Helier is a great base for exploring Jersey by bus (as we did). The town itself is not pretty but the main bus station means you can get around the island really easily (and more environmentally friendly than hiring a car). The museum is really excellent and gave us a fantastic overview of the history, geography and stories of Jersey. We spent a week going around the coast by bus and walking, often finding lovely secluded beaches. We are in our 60s but managed the walks fairly easily. Lots of ups and downs, so you do need good walking boots and a certain level of fitness. Used the public bus service to get around sightseeing.
Used the public bus service to get around sightseeing. We visited St Brelade's, St Aubin, the shops at Red Houses and Jersey Pearl. Also took a daytrip by sea to Guernsey (this was booked before we left home) the trip was terminated before the return sailing due to high winds/rough weather but the tour of the island was excellent and the tour company arranged and paid for flights back to Jersey. Beautiful island and very easy to walk around St Helier even at night, feels safe with a good mix of bars and restaurants. Lots of shops, lovely indoor market and easy to navigate. Not too many budget options for eating and drinking out.Guest review byStevenUnited Kingdom

Pool had good opening hours, good size and facilities were good too. Single room was light and airy, good storage, tv, hospitality tray well serviced, en suite clean and well serviced. All staff were helpful and hard working, the restaurant staff worked hard to keep tables clear and buffet well stocked. The hotel has good transport link to town centre and also within comfortable walking distance. The rooms are huge! Bedroom, bathroom and a little chill out room to read or watch TV, have breakfast. 2 tvs, coffee/tea, mini fridge, iron, ironing board, trouser press, liquid, soap, conditioner, shampoo, body wash, fresh towels each day, lovely and warm. I had a sea view from the bay window in the room. Breakfast was excellent and you could either have English or continental. Both the restaurant and desk staff were excellent.
