My wife and I are huge fans of all of west Wales. Lovely towns and villages, welcoming people and excellent beaches and countryside. Saundersfoot is a lovely seaside town with a great beach, lively harbour and plenty of shops, bars and eating places. It's a great walking area as well with adjacent villages such as Wiseman's Bridge and Amroth within walking distance. Tenby is a larger town with all the amenities and is only a 5 minute drive away. Lovely place to visit.
Lovely place to visit. Parking was very close to the beach but limited spaces. Had to drive around for a short time before finding a space. Cost of parking a little more expensive than parking in town. My daughter and granddaughter have coeliacs disease. The Boat house pub was an excellent place to eat. For a small town Saundersfoot has loads of shops, cafes, and restaurants. We were spoilt for choice for places to eat supper, and as a family group (with 3 generations to cater for) it was easy to find places that suited all tastes.The Boat house was our favourite, followed by HARBWR and Kookaba. The property was located just a short walk into Saudersfoot and Glen Beach which we found really convenient. Plenty of options for food and drink and a fantastic beach and walks. The WiFi was good and the owners, who were very accommodating, had left a folder with useful info about the property and the area which was extremely helpful! Towels were also provided and the beds were comfy. The weather was extremely cold when we visited but our room was lovely and warm at all times. The room was clean and tidy and had all that we required. Breakfast was first class and freshly cooked. The bar area had a lovely feel to it with a real fire. We stayed over the late Aug Bank Holiday and found Saundersfoot a great place to walk around and fab beaches. The walk upto Claremont House can be tiring but you see great views of the sea and harbour. We stayed in Room 4 which was at the front of the building.
