We stayed one night and actually tried to book another night but the property was fully booked. We visited the Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle but ran out of time. We'd happily return again and take a bit more time to look around.

Stirling is a beautiful historic town with many fun sites to see. I needed more time to see them all. Stirling Castle should have a shuttle service bringing people up to the castle, Very limited parking and not conducive if you have a person with walking issues. Plan ahead. Maybe go later in the afternoon when there are less people.

We only had half a day in Stirling and could have stayed much longer. Everyone in my family enjoyed the castle very much. My children actually asked to extend the time we had budgeted to see the castle, which is the first place this happened. We would have loved to spend more time seeing the Wallace Monument and the town of Stirling, but unfortunately had to leave.

Sterling is a fantastic place for a couple of days.

Sterling is a fantastic place for a couple of days. The castle is very impressive. They have free guided tours on the hour that are well worth the time invested. Along with the castle finding the Old Bridge, the Wallace Monument and out to Bannockburn for a different view. Holy Rude Church and Cemetery are quite fascinating. A day trip to Falkirk to see the Kelpies and the Forth Bridges is a must if you have an engineer along with you. We greatly enjoyed the food and vibe at The Portcullis right at the food of the Castle.

    Amazing!

Amazing! A must see place full of history and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Didn’t want to leave. Stunning views from the top of Stirling Castle, Stirling Jail’s Observation Tower and the William Wallace Monument. Free shuttle bus every few minutes up to the monument and free to view from the outside. All historical attractions worth a visit for the view as well as the history. Stirling old town available to see on foot. Easy distance from restaurants and pubs too. Lots of nice restaurants to choose from. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Scotland. Allow 3-4 days and allow 2.5 hours for Stirling Castle.

The castle is an absolute must.

The castle is an absolute must. We spent 6 hours there and enjoyed every minute. Do take the guided tour that is included in the entrance price. Get there early if you want to park at the castle although it’s not so far from the city centre - just uphill!!!

Good quality campus accommodation. Room was clean and comfortable, with tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite shower room. No TV in the room but there was one in the shared lounge/kitchen, where you could cook meals if you wanted. Stirling University campus is a beautiful location. Good quality breakfast was served in the Stirling Court Hotel on the other side of the campus, about a 5-10 minute walk from Willow Court.
