Strangford is a lovely little village with very friendly...
Strangford is a lovely little village with very friendly locals and just enough facilities. Nice little home bakery, good pub and 3 x decent restaurants. You can get the ferry over to Portaferry if desired but there are lots of things to do close to the town. Castle Ward is walking distance, nice little beach close by, Saul and Downpatrick are all within close driving distance.Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom

The room was lovely with the softest mattress and very quiet. The meals are just so delicious and the staff are wonderful. Besides all being friendly, helpful and happy they are great communicators before my arrival. Free parking out the front and nearly next door to the car ferry to Portaferry. Castle Ward worth a visit. Had a lovely meal in The Lobster Pot and then got the ferry over to the Portaferry Hotel for more drinks and good entertainment! ferry is £2 return and runs every half hour...well worth it! Everyone had a fantastic time. The bedrooms and bathrooms are huge. So much storage. Huge fridge/freezer. Beautiful fire burner though the house is a naturally warm house so didn't light the fire.
