Market town which stretches either side of the River Tone...
Market town which stretches either side of the River Tone with the imposing cricket floodlights surveying the scene. The rail station is at one end of the town but the heart is at the opposite end, about a 20 min walk that takes you the shops, pubs and restaurants. No shortage of places to have a coffee, usual range of shops, demographics certainly on the older side. Library has a nice cafe to complement a large range of books including local ones. Apartment was spacious and well layed out with everything we could need for our stay. The owners were very helpful and quickly responded to anything we asked.
