I travel up and down the M6 to/from Hereford to Oban fairly regularly. It’s a long an arduous journey particularly in the winter. Westmorland is a godsend of a hotel almost exactly half way and is an oasis of comfort and warmth literally at the side of the motorway. I love the convenience, the comfort, the friendliness and the fact you feel you are on the moors and a million miles from a motorway. You could not wish for a better night stop to recharge your batteries. Be sure to ask about the secret road between north and south services especially for hotel customers- so you can easily access the hotel when travelling south (because hotel is on M6 North)Guest review byBethanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Tebay services…. what a fabulous cocooning experience! I came off the M6 on a wild wet dark evening and stepped into simple luxury and contemporary cosiness - I left the next morning early, completely restored. I was journeying from the borders of scotland to the south coast and realised I’d run out of energy for the drive- an unplanned stop- but having experienced sitting by the open fire with my book after a delicious simple supper, slept in a divine comfortable bed, a nice hot bath -a delicious breakfast - i’ll make the time to stop here EVERY time i pass from now - special thanks for the gluten free and vegan options tebay!Guest review byLucyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

There was a well stocked farm shop within walking distance, a great pub which was reasonably priced with a good menu. The food was delicious, it had an outdoor beer garden and lit up seating area, a play park for the kids, it played great music and had a good atmosphere, everyone was so friendly.
