Beware of certain taxi services who do not understand your requirements because of their poor english-speaking capabilities, and who therefore do not turn up at important moments. If staying at the Hotel International, let them book the taxis for you. Room very good. Staff excellent. Had a small issue with TV which was sorted very quickly. Restaurant excellent. Bar had a good atmosphere. It's not huge so has a 'personal' feel. Business trip.
Business trip. Visited Great Dawley as a guest of the Town Council for Dawley Day. Preparation for the 150th anniversary of Captain Matthew Webb's first English Channel crossing. Dawley Day was brilliant, put on by the Town Council for families and it was free. I visited to go to the RAF Museum at Cosford. Excellent museum, but part of it is currently closed for refurbishments. Don't let that put you off visiting, though. The Italian Restaurant (Radici) at Shifnal is excellent.Guest review byWilliamUnited Kingdom - 10
Telford shopping centre is well within walking distance from...
Telford shopping centre is well within walking distance from the Holiday inn. The centre is very large with a fantastic array of shops and places to eat. Just a short drive from Telford centre is the iron bridge gorge with the iconic iron bridge and museums which well worth a visit. Also close to Telford is RAF Cosford aircraft museum which is free to enter you only pay for parking. The aircraft museum is vast also containing the cold war collection of V bombers. Rob contacted me before I arrived with check in details. Parking was on the street but directly outside. I appreciated the coffee and the cake he had left me! The cottage is comfy and warm. I slept very well. The mattress was great and the shower was powerful and water boiling hot. I am planing a trip with my other half and will definitely stay here again!
