Good restaurant and bar food, good room service, lovely room with a very comfy bed, we didn't want to get out of in the morning. For our evening meal, our Waiter, Joshy was fabulous as was the food. And all staff. My partner had a couple of elemis treatments on the second day, which she said was good value for money, while I used the spa facilities. You can use the spa even after you check out at 11.

We loved everything! The location, the rooms - comfy beds, brilliant shower, the food, the staff - we were all made to feel immediately at home. Breakfast and dinner were amazing - really delicious, plentiful and we were all able to sit together. We were celebrating my mum's birthday and she too was made to feel very special. Thank you to all the staff at the Carpenter's Arms for making our weekend so incredible!!!

Wow, what a difference a new proactive manager has made to this hotel. We had previously stayed at the hotel pre-covid on a number of occasions and had seen the decline in the building so where very presently surprised on the improvements that have been made since we last stayed. Refurbished, clean and comfortable rooms, with new carpet, bedding, T.V's etc. The general ambiance of the property was very welcoming as were the helpful, polite and informative staff. Breakfast was buffet style, delicious and hot with plenty of variety and I had one of the best curries I have eaten in the restaurant for dinner one night. The manager was a delight to speak with and actively sought feedback from guests so that he could continue to improve services. All in all, an excellent stay, and great value for money and will be our first choice on returning to England and Kent.

It was located in an amazing place. Elegant and peaceful looking. Nothing fancy but everything was great. As a former Mercure staff, I wasn’t very much into booking any of the Mercure brand but I’m glad that I booked it. 😇 I would like to say a big thank you to Tom (F&B) for an amazing service with a lovely smile. Thank you for tolerating my requests every single time. 😅❤️ and shout out to Laila (my apologies if I said the wrong name) from Reception. Everything about this place was perfectly designed for a relaxing stay. The bed was really soft & comfy, beautifully presented with 2 chocolate éclairs & a lovely card saying "YOU MATTER" which really put a smile on my face. There was an amazing selection of breakfast items to choose from, fresh milk, gorgeous orange juice, Greek yogurt, cereals, jam & marmalade, the butter was delicious (proper butter) Has a kettle, toaster, a hob & microwave/grill, nice bright lighting. The outside seating area was very nice & it has a gas bbq which was lovely in beautiful sunny weather, theres 2 parasols for some shade too. Anna was an amazing host & made me feel very welcome from the moment I arrived, Thank you so much I'll definitely be back xx

    Horrible!!!!

    Horrible!!!! I have been cheated out of my money and demand a refund!!! I did not stay there at all as it was disgusting!!! it is aback yard of a council estate with dogs yapping next door, dirty neighbourhood, dirty facilities inside!!!!!
