What a beautiful, lavish and fascinating place.
What a beautiful, lavish and fascinating place. An example of what all the money in the world and more can buy you a few hundred years ago. The guides are passionate and so knowledgable about the history of the building. There is a cafe/coffee shop to the rear and a gift shop accessible from inside and outside the house. We were visiting Waddesdon for the Christmas fair, which was magical. There's something there for everyone. The house is amazing, and was decorated to perfection. Once it was dark, the projections on the house were fantastic, as was the light trail. This was our 2nd visit for the Christmas fair, and it did not disappoint. Waddesdon is a small village, about 5 miles mid way between Aylesbury and Bicester. Very handy for National Trust Waddesdon Manor, which is a lovely place to visit and also has a decent children’s woodland playground. Waddesdon manor really know how to do Christmas. We loved the lights , decorations and Christmas market. I'm looking forward to going again to see the rest of the house.
