    Lovely town with historic Minster (church) in the centre.

    Lovely town with historic Minster (church) in the centre. Lots of interesting history. Good range of shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants. Plenty of things to do: the Tivoli theatre has films, musicians, plays, etc all year round. There are parks and a river in the town. Very flat and easy to walk around. Pubs with regular music nights! Irish and folk music.

    Staff are lovely and very welcoming.

    Staff are lovely and very welcoming. Great Italian restaurants nearby, we had dinner at one of them and the chicken in cream and mushroom sauce was divine. We only had breakfast in the hotel a couple of times as we were room only. Visit the minster and visit the library up the winding stairs if open. History there is incredible.

    Wimborne Minster is a very picturesque town, with lots of cafe's, restaurant and shops, both high street names and independents, to explore. Sitting in the square, drinking a coffee and people watching, is a lovely way to pass an hour or so.

    The town has a lovely selection of shops and cafes, something for everyone! There is a small museum, a beautiful church and a model of the town (the latter being great for children)! You can really chill out and relax in Wimborne Minster!

    Hannah and her team welcomed us to the Lion for our two-night stay and continued to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The suite was clearly updated and well set out, with an intriguing bathroom layout that worked well. The bed was very comfortable and the shower powerful. Breakfast was generous and promptly served - thanks to the great suggestion that we told them the night before of any hot food preferences. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the compact town centre

    We were greeted and shown to our room. As usual a bright airy room. Bed comfortable and shower nice and hot. Breakfast was wide ranging. From cereal to full English. The host was accomodating and made sure our needs were met. Will be our goto hotel in Wimborne.

    Everything was great, the host really knows what he's doing and all the little touches make a real difference - the property itself is super nice, just off the square in Wimborne with easy access to everything - this property is highly recommended
