The weekend we were there coincided with the farmers market on the Sunday, which was lovely to experience. Winslow - full of history and very friendly people. Our host, Jeff, was very helpful, friendly and made us feel part of his family. Lovely local food - a home full of friendship, flowers and joy. Thank you Jeff for making our stay in Winslow so special. We visited Ascott, Claydon, Stowe and Waddesdon NT places of fame and beautiful gardens. We only drove through Winslow itself on our journey, but it looked like a lovely place, and another time we would love to stop and explore. I liked that there's plenty of places to eat & drink
I liked that there's plenty of places to eat & drink Pubs were lovely with great food & drink. We thought there's no way our parents could have stayed at the bell due to poor health and age as far too many uneven floors and too man stairs plus too many nooks and crannys to get to the rooms. We were moved immediately to a much better room which suited our needs satisfactorily. Staff proved friendly and helpful at all times and for example, immediately rectified the absence of a hair drier in our room.
