Some money has been spent tidying the public spaces but certainly the room we were in left a lot to be desired . The carpet was stained and I certainly did not want to walk on it in bare feet. The shower/ bathroom was tired, the grouting stained and the flooring delaminating. The staff were friendly but not personable. We love it there, lovely hotel with a kind of old fashioned feel. Located on the edge of Dartmoor, with Plymouth around half an hours drive its perfect for us.
