EVERYTHING!!!!! We are retired and have travelled the world extensively. We know when a hotel is not up to expectations (and have walked out of a couple after just a few hours). This place was exceptional. I just reread the past comments - accept what all the good ones say at face value because they reflect our experience there. Irini was exceptional on the front desk and Elizabeth, who cleaned our room every day, was exceptional! When I read each negative review I wondered if they are referring to a different hotel. If those people were expecting a $500 a night experience they should have stayed in a $500 a night hotel - there are lots to choose from on the island. Having a rental car I found there was always a parking space to return to without having the negotiate the narrow streets of the inner town. My wife’s main criteria is a comfortable bed and a clean room and environment. Mohitero got 5/5 on both. We really enjoyed the gardens and the birds and the peace and quiet. We would have no hesitation returning. It was a nice place to come “home” to after a busy day. The pictures on Booking reflect what was saw while there.

The hotel is brand new and very conveniently located for exploring Santorini. Our room was spacious and had a premium feel, but we enjoyed spending most of our time at the pools and spa. The polite staff were always available to assist us. Overall a very comfortable and relaxing stay.

They were exceptional in accepting our last min reservation, as our ferry to depart the island got canceled that morning. We didn't know what to do and found availability there. They graciously helped us and were very kind as we had to walk our luggage to their location that morning. They even helped us figure out where to go and make new travel arrangements. Rooms were perfect and excellent location to walk to the main shopping areas.

Check-in & Service: We were greeted personally by Leila, the manager, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was willing to help arrange transfers, if needed, and even gave local tips that were better than any travel blog. Service throughout the stay felt personal but never intrusive. Room & Amenities: We stayed in a Lifestyle Suite with a private, heated pool,and honestly, we barely wanted to leave it. The design was minimal but elegant, with modern lighting, blackout curtains, and a huge, comfy bed. Everything felt clean, fresh, and thoughtfully arranged. Wi-Fi was strong, the room was soundproof, and we appreciated the Nespresso machine and stocked mini fridge. Breakfast: Each morning, breakfast was brought to our terrace, and it was a real highlight. Greek yogurt with honey, French toast, omelets, fresh juice—the quality was excellent and it felt like our own private café overlooking the hills. Location: It’s not on the caldera, which was a plus for us. It’s quiet, and we avoided the crowds in Oia and Fira. A rental car is recommended, but it’s only 10 minutes to Fira, and the airport is super close. There’s a bus stop nearby too, though we didn’t use it.

We had an amazing stay at the Santo Mangata Boutique Hotel! The hotel was opened just a couple of months ago, so everything is brand new. The kindiness of the stuff is beyond any words! The pool area is beautiful and chilled, with a big enough pool and comfortable sunbeds. The bartender makes great cocktails! The hotel is just 5 minutes walking to the beach.
