The host was very kind and we had a very warm welcome, they waited for us with fresh fruits and vegetables from their garden. Fantastic apartment so close to the beach, and a pleasant 15-minute stroll to the main town with plenty of bars,restaurants, and shops to choose from. The apartments were beautifully decorated inside and still looked new,clean, and tidy. The pool area had plenty of sunbeds and towels and a quiet seating area. Staff we're all so friendly and can arrange taxi transfer if you need. Can not fault anything at all with these apartments and would definitely recommend for a well based accomodation close to everything. We stayed in S5, and the view was awesome. Pictures are exactly what you get.

A very warm and friendly welcome was received from Nikos on our arrival. Asked us to make ourselves comfortable in the bar, provided us with a drink and then we completed the booking in process. Very relaxed and efficient. We were the first visitors of the season and were unexpectedly upgraded to a beautiful suite which included our own pool. The suite was very well appointed and we loved it, and very tastefully decorated. Ioanna has very good taste and has made the accommodation so homely. The bed was very comfortable too and the best shower we have had in Zakynthos and we have visited 20 plus times! As we stayed out of season, a very limited amount of tavernas were open, Nikos kindly offered to cook us a meal so that we did not have to go and find somewhere open. It was a very delicious meal and was something they would eat at home and was not on the menu. We ate breakfast there every morning and many times in the evening as although the menu is not vast, the specials they cook are fresh and of a very high quality. Nikos and Vasilis cannot do enough for you and I would highly recommend this accommodation. We will be visiting again.

    The beaches were lovely and gently shelving which made it really safe for everyone. We often walked round to the padded sunbeds near the port of Alykanas, which were 15 euros a days but so much more comfortable than the hotel ones. The town has a good selections of shops, bars and restaurants and you can also walk up to Alykes town along the canal

    Good selection of restaurants at fair prices, Greccos for fresh fish was superb and plenty of places served authentic Greek dishes. We found that 'free wine' was best avoided although the food was good! Costa's on the beach was very good and Shoestring further down the coast is well worth a visit. The Mitsos Hotel welcomes visitors and has a large swimming pool and refreshments served to sunbeds for anyone who goes there - all you have to do is buy refreshments at reasonable prices. This seems to apply to all places with a pool and sunbeds. The hire car was a mixed blessing as the satnav had to be paired with my mobile phone and sat coverage is partial. Driving at night on unlit mountain roads with the few signposts in Greek is not relaxing.

    It a lovely place with lots of great restaurants and bars. The beaches are lovely and 2 villages are in a walkable distance so choice is vast. It has a really safe feel and so friendly be that bar owners/restaurant or holiday makers.

    This was my second visit to Alikanas and I will be back...

    This was my second visit to Alikanas and I will be back again! It is such a good location for lazy beach and pool days. Easy to hire a car or bike or go on a boat trip to explore the island. The people are really friendly and there is a relaxed vibe wherever you go. There are some fantastic restaurants that have authentic Greek dishes at a reasonable price. I highly recommend The Mill Bar for food and entertainment. Their Greek dancing night is not to be missed!!

    Small little town, good for a relaxing stay. Not much partying or the like happening. Some good restaurants. Beer was always served ice cold which was great. Not many activities to tap into. The location needs some investment to really come to life.

    I’d suggest you get here soon, whilst it retains an element of the farming area, soon to be lost as it’s concreted over. It’s probably got all the rooms and eateries it will ever needbut when did that ever stop progress ? Fab sandy beach and shallow harbour. Enough nice walking in all directions. Perhaps there was a Obese’n Inky Festival taking place on the week I visited, way too many wide loads pavement blocking, desperately searching for another fill up !

    Overall, we were very happy with our stay here and would recommend it to anyone considering the area. The people running it were incredibly pleasant and made us feel very at ease. The room is well equipt, and the bed is comfortable. Lovely pool with plenty of sunbeds available. The hotel bar is decently stocked and priced. The food is tasty, from the breakfasts to the pizzas. The shops and bars are a 5/10 minute walk away, and the beach is a 15/20 minute walk away.

    - Anemomylos is the best price/value accommodation you'll find in Laganas. - Nikos, the host, was always super attentive and gave very good tips. - By staying at Anemomylos, you can access most pool areas in the village at no extra cost. - The room has a lot of light and had a very nice terrace. - The hotel is near restaurants and just 5 mins away from the beach. - Cleaning came in mostly every day, and sheets/towels were changed regularly.

    The place is very clean with nice comfortable beds and with great and very helpful staff. The beach is right next to the hotel and its sandy and shallow perfect for little swimmers. There is a restaurant on site that serves good food and has a kids menu as well. There are restaurants close by and supermarkets to buy what you need, all in a short walk. If you want to go around the island, a car is a must cause the buses aren't often.
