In general they ignore you when you ask for a ride. Have your hotel arrange drop off and pick up. there are many restaurants, but not all have the same quality food. The Acropolis is a must, go early to avoid the crowds you can book an early slot in advance. For amazing 360 views of the city Lycabettus Hill is the place to go but be prepared for an uphill trek before you board the funicular railway to get to the top. The food choice is fantastic and there is live music in many places, we particularly enjoyed Lyra. The location was fabulous, close to the excellent restaurants, independent and touristy shops and the acropolis. We were also lucky enough to have partial view of it.
