Heraklio is perfect for those who want to go sightseeing rather than only beach. It is a bustling city with an excellent museum and good transport links. The town was buzzing and full of life. Some excellent restaurants (peskesi a stand out) Beaches were stunning especially when blessed with perfect summer weather. Heraklio was beautiful. The archeological museum is incredible. The history musuem is likewise. The underpopularized The Museum of Ancient Technology was faciinating.......The city is a fine landing place to Crete and offers much more on its own, however we found the graffiti to be overwhelming. I do not believe the slander of it to reflective of the intellegence of the residents of the city - from my interactions. Moreover the beauty of the archetecture is marred by the slander perpetrated. I can only think that the building owners are overwhelmed by the constant repainting required. Hate speech is not free speech but rather incitement.Guest review byHanaIsrael

The rooms were cleaned everyday, as well as new towels were provided! The view from the room was just magical - one side city centre, one - the sea.
