Lovely room, very clean and great views. Staff excellent and very helpful. Much better quality than expected for a 2 star hotel, at least 3 stars I would have thought. Sitia is a wonderful place and this is the perfect place to experience it

We, family from the Netherlands (boy 13 y and a girl 11 y) booked Oceanides Luxury apartments for one week (22 -29 july 2023 ). From the moment that we arrived we felt very at ease. The owner Nektarios is a born host. He received us with a heartfelt big smile after we drove from the airport in the late evening. Nektarios takes very good care of his guests and makes sure they don’t lack anything. He does take care for his guest from out of his heart. He is also very good with children as a sport teacher at school and as frontman of his family with four sportive boys and his friendly and sympathetic wife Kelly. Nektarios grew up in the Sitia region so he gives very good advice where the nice beaches in the region are, were to hike and what the good taverns and restaurants are for a great lunch or dinner. The children loved especially his cold milk chocolate which he made in the morning. Nektarios made them very happy with these drinks. Our children really wanted to stay longer when our week was over. But regretful we had to leave because we booked another place to visit an other part of Kreta. So we left with some melancholy and reluctance but with great memories! Thanks for the unforgettable week and the great hospitality. All the best and until next time!

Our stay was fantastic! My family was absolutely delighted. The apartment is beautiful, stylish, comfortable, and completely new. It’s really spacious — there were five of us, and there was enough space for everyone, so nobody felt cramped or in each other’s way. Being on the top floor, the terrace has a wonderful view of the sea and the central promenade. The best part is that it’s located in the heart of Sitia’s life and close to the sea, but since it’s on a pedestrian street, it’s quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. We definitely recommend it — and we’ll be coming back!

The location is excellent. Kato Zakros is the perfect place to relax. Even in the middle of the summer, it is not crowded. It has some small, but delicious and relatively cheap restaurants next to the beach. The Zakros Minoan palace is a 5-minute walk from the property. The exit of the Gorge of the Dead is two minutes away. Xerokampos, which is famous for its sandy beaches, is a 20-minute drive. The property itself is excellent for a family; it is clean, it has all the facilities you may need, and has a perfect view to the sea.

We loved it so much that we booked it again for 5 more days. The apartment is very clean, the views from the living room and also bedroom are amazing. It’s also close to the beach. The host is nice and helpful.

    Very interesting village in the center of Sitia Natural Park...

    Very interesting village in the center of Sitia Natural Park is like a ghost town. A lot of abandoned and rumbling houses, with a few houses for stay. The village is dying, but several people try to keep it alive hosting visitors and it really worth to visit. Possibly there are many interesting stories behind each house which would be interesting to listen - from family histories to village design and everyday life. Also several georoutes for hiking are crossing the site, but there are a lot of fences blocking them. Possibly, for safety reasons. Highly recommend to visit and see another side of Crete.
