Although not the typical white-washed cycladic village, it is still a comfortable ferry port that turns into a pedestrian area once the last ferry is gone or parked for the night, giving the opportunity to families with small kids to enjoy the stroll. A cosy family run hotel overlooking the beach and the port - we had a corner room with a balcony offering both views. A very good bed and mattress which we enjoyed after a whole day travelling and gave us a good night’s sleep! Breakfast was healthy and good with enough choice. Korissia is a hidden gem, a gorgeous, quiet place full of nature, perfect for getting away on a weekend from a busy life and take a break, breath and enjoy clear air and lovely people. If you want to see around you definitely need a car. Beware of inaccessible roads. Go for it if you are adventurous and you have a car good for rocky roads. The room was a decent size, the bed was extremely comfortable and all the amenities you could need. There was coffee a machine with pods which were regularly refreshed and a lovely welcome basket with wine and local produce. We had the room with a hot tub on the balcony and it was wonderful relaxing in the tub with a glass of wine, overlooking the sea. The breakfast was excellent, and I liked that each day we had different marmalades and pies, etc. The staff is cheerful and helpful and above all very polite!
