If you're looking for peaceful traditional village life, this is the best place to stay in Crete! Small is beautiful! The village is in a stunning location with views across the White Mountains and over Souda Bay, while also being very accessible from the airport and ferry port via the national road. A great village. Tavernas within walking distance. A real authentic Greek village with a friendly atmosphere. Very near local beaches and very near the beautiful town of Chania. The ancient site of Aptera a few minutes walk. Lots of walking tracks for the novice and more experienced Walker. A huge variety of plants and flowers especially in the Spring for the botanists amongst you. A great environment for a healthy stay. Loved it.Guest review bySusan
