If you want to experience real nice place with fabulous sightseeing views long up and down walks with very nice sandy beach at the end of the city and not so far away other beautiful beaches - Neos is jut a right fit! It has the scent of old towns at the cliff but in the same time it has a layers of modernity embroidered throughout the scape. If it is more for young people? Maybe, if you don't like to walk but there is round walk next to the sea side as well... After spending 10 days I am sure about I will never go back to Neos Marmaras. Very noisy and crowded beaches, a lot of people during the night shopping. We went to Platanitsi Wild Beach on daily basis (50km from Neos Marmaras) to avoid this nightmare.Guest review byMateHungary - 10.0
The town is not too big, but big enough to have all you need...
The town is not too big, but big enough to have all you need. At night there is a lot of people on the streets. There are more than enough fine places to eat and to buy stuff. The streets are at an incline and parking can be a challenge sometime especially when there are many visitors from other places. You can't always expect to park within 50m from you apartment, but it's not too bad. The city beach is wonderful, clean coast, clean water, plenty of space. Lagomandra beach is about 7min driving to the north (back to Nikiti) and is a very popular place for a good reason. Neos Marmaras is small town in the hills so you have to be carefull when you choose location of your accomodation because some streets are very steep. On the way from Neos Marmaras to Nikiti you have several nice beaches, everything is very close to eachother. Close to the beach, not far from the city center, parking space available on the street even is not reserved. Very good for a larger group of 6 adults and one child, se have plenty of rooms and the 2 bathrooms are wise choice. In a nice and quiet place, near the beach, market and the city center.
