This places really worth its price, maybe even more than what you would expect. The rooms are spacey, renovated and very modern. Beds are very comfortable and with nice linens. There is even a small rest area near the windows and the balcony which I enjoyed very much. Breakfast and restaurant are also worth noticing, the food is great and variety is high. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend and would visit again!

FAQs about hotels in Budapest

A City of Two Halves

With a dome reminiscent of Brunelleschi’s "The Duomo" in Florence, the Hungarian parliament building is undoubtedly the icon of Budapest. It sits majestically by the Danube, the river that both divides and unifies the 2 parts of this capital city: Buda and Pest.

Overseeing Budapest from its vantage point on Castle Hill is Buda Castle. Spectacularly lit at night, it has the best views across this attractive city steeped in World Heritage. Some unique points of interest are Heroes Square and the Museum of Terror, reminders of the city’s more turbulent past.

Much like in Vienna further up the Danube, coffee and cake is practically an institution in Budapest. And there’s nowhere better to try them than Gerbeaud - the elaborate décor alone makes this café well worth a visit.

To really feel like a local, make a trip to the thermal baths. The relaxed Gellért Baths are a triumph of Art Nouveau grandeur and, based on their sheer size, you can't miss the outdoor Széchenyi Baths. If unusual nightlife is your thing, the club nights at these baths are great fun.

With an impressive range of Budapest hotels, apartments and hostels available in this city of 2 halves, Booking.com makes it an easy choice.

A beautiful city with lots to see and places to visit.

A beautiful city with lots to see and places to visit. Safe walking in the streets even on the large avenues, drivers are very careful with the pedestrians. Public transport not very easy to use. It's a walkable city and taxis are not expensive for longer distances. A Danube night cruise is definitely a must!!! Remember lights on buldings go off at 10:30pm. Parliament in the night is magical. Buda site also a must and do get the small hop on hop off blue bus. It takes you to all sights and you do't miss a thing.

Budapest is a wonderful city, lots of things to do and attractions - Parliament Building, Buda Castle, St Stephen Basilica, thermal baths. and the excellent New Your cafe. We did a short weekend trip to Budapest from Dubai, it was a great break. The city has a well-planned public transportation system, although one sometimes has to walk a distance to get the next connection, so it's not on par with Western European countries, but is also much much cheaper. Excellent food.

The mera hotel was in a perfect location for sightseeing.

The mera hotel was in a perfect location for sightseeing. Budapest is a very busy and interesting place to visit. Lovely to sit by the danube and watch the world go by. A must visit is the parliment building (we got tickets on line before we went) Gellert baths are good too. ( buda side) they have loads of sunbeds around the heated outdoor pool. Great for relaxing after sightseeing. Loads of good places to eat. I must recommend Ape Regina restaurant which is not far from the hotel. We went twice because the food was so good. Budapest is walkable (that's how we got around) but if you have problems with walking long distances, I would use public transport. City park is worth a visit, but a long way to walk from Budapest city centre.

We found Budapest to be a lovely city, exceptionally clean and friendly. The architecture is stunning. It is very easy to get around on public transport, reasonable and reliable. Would recommend a trip to the spa. Also would be woth pre booking trips such as the parliament as they are very popular. We would also recommend the tour of the opera house. Restaurants of every choice and budget are easy to find. You must try the Langos and Chimney cake

People were generally rude especially at the Cafe Paris and the Terror Museum. Maybe like a lot of Europe cities , they don’t really want tourists anymore. It was easy to get around on the Metro but no signs at the stations to anything like the museums etc. we did find some great restaurants.

Due to our problem with sunny bright hotel, my entire trip was ruined. Didn't have time to do much sightseeing seeing. The people can be unhelpful if u do not speak the language. The metro and bus is good. The photos of sunny bright hotel has been uploaded below. Budapest is beautiful, bit expensive. Changing money can be expensive due to extra taxes. I wish I had enjoyed it more.

We stayed at Budapest Holidays Harmony for 3 nights in the middle of August. The hotel is situated in a great location, very close to the city centre and Deak Ferenc metro station, which were the main reasons for booking it. We also appreciated the flexibility of the check-in time, as we arrived at 1 am from the airport (there is indeed an extra fee for it, but still). Another great facility is the luggage storage available up until 5 pm on the day of your departure. The staff is nice and very responsive and the room was clean.

Location was perfect - right in the city centre with shops and cafes / restaurants on the same street. The reception staff were lovely and helpful, they even let us check in early as the room was ready on arrival. Very clean and beautifully decorated room, bed was huge and very comfortable! Would definitely recommend staying here, the price was great compared to other nearby hotels. We will return on our next visit to Budapest! Thank you

A lovely clean hotel. Room spacious, bathrobe and slippers were a great addition. Reception staff were very friendly. Breakfast was included, had plenty of choice. Hot dishes varied daily. Slightly away from the City Centre, but easy to walk into. If not as mobile then Uber works well. Would definitely recommend, if I go back to Budapest, then I'll have no hesitation in booking again.
