We had a wonderful stay at your hotel! The place is incredibly cozy, with beautiful houses and a thoughtfully designed environment. Everything felt well-planned and comfortable. The staff was kind and helpful — thank you for that! We do have a couple of suggestions. We were a bit surprised to be charged for breakfast at the end of our stay. The menu we were given stated that breakfast was included, and there were no prices listed for items like eggs, juice, fruit, or coffee. So when we received a bill for 600,000 IDR, it was a bit upsetting. The sea by your hotel is calm and perfect for swimming — with a gentle entrance and no big waves, which we really appreciated. However, the beach is quite rocky, so we’d recommend wearing water shoes, as it’s uncomfortable to walk barefoot. It would also be great if the beach area could be cleaned from time to time — that would make it even more enjoyable. Lastly, please don’t forget to tell future guests about the incredible snorkeling right in front of the hotel! Offering snorkeling masks would be a lovely touch, as the underwater world there is truly stunning. Overall, we really loved our time here and would happily come back

The property is so well maintained and every little detail has been taken care of . The beautiful decorations and furniture and mix of Balinese and bohemian is so unique and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. So much love and care has been poured into this beautiful oasis .

Very tranquil quiet place to re connect with nature, falling asleep with the sound of the waves and waking up with the song of the birds is very relaxing The food is amazing they have a wide variety of traditional and western dishes They have a diving school in the way, but the instructions are already there and they showed me the Reef by snorkeling! Amazing and there where no other people there I will definitely come back to have some quiet relaxing days

Gaia-Oasis Abasan Mountain Retreat is one of the most beautiful places I have found in Bali and is most probably one of the last hidden paradises of peace and tranquility on the island. The vast property lays on a hillside and the buildings are nestled amongst the trees. There is a wonderful scent of Frangipani flowers all over the place. There are different accommodations to choose from, there is a 13-m pool in which extended swimming is possible and the place features Yoga and Meditation halls with stunning views. The main building is the restaurant, where delicious meals are served three times a day and free tea and flavoured water is available all day long. This place is perfect for people who wish to get away from the mainstream tourism, who love nature and are looking for a way to disconnect from a 24/7 availability. Internet is available in the main building/restaurant. Everything is very clean and well maintained. What makes the place unique, however, is the people: I met three of the founders and they where very hospitable and made me feel like home far away from home. All members of the staff are very friendly and go to great lengths to make sure their guests are well accommodated. Thank you Yen, Helen and Mariah for unforgettable moments. Terima Kasih, I will come back.

Beautiful secluded resort, which is completely off the beaten tourist track. What appealed is the fact that the resort is a wellness type of resort that is particularly suited for those seeking calmness, and being truly away. Also it is non-profit and gives back to local society whilst maintaining very high service standards. From the moment we entered the resort, it felt like being in another world. It is very peaceful in beautiful surroundings, directly at the beach. From your room you can see the sea which is about 30m distance. Rooms are very clean, large, well appointed and have daybeds outside. Restaurant is of good quality with a lot of offerings and excellent service. We did various tours (snorkeling, dolphin watching and tour of the region) - all was arranged by the resort and the experiences were amazing. A local fisherman guided us on a private snorkeling and dolphin watching tour - very nice and knowledgeable, eg the dolphin watching at 6am sunset is unforgettable. The day tour was very well arranged and private and gave us a lot of local insights and experiences that you will not typically get - all done by a fantastic driver/guide. All in all, highly recommended if you are looking for a beautiful, quiet resort outside any tourist area.

Lovely idea of small cabins with beautiful views, built on a hillside overlooking the lake. When we stayed in September 2025, it was clear that the place is still quite new, and some things and services are still being adjusted. We stayed for two nights, which was just the right amount of time. It was a great base for climbing Mount Batur and for exploring the northern part of the island. Among the highlights were the young, friendly, and helpful staff regularly available on the reception and Whatsapp. They organized a scooter rental and also a driver to take us to the south of the island, both for a fair price. We also enjoyed the outdoor bathtub several times – the water was warm and came from a natural spring (not crystal clear, but still fine). The price of €45 per cabin per night, including breakfast for two people, was good value. Breakfast was included, and we also ate in the restaurant later – the food was tasty and reasonably priced.
