The Farmhouse was built of stone in the 1700s. Fascinating for us Canadians where our houses are most likely made of wood. The house was very spacious, modern without being sterile and very rural. You are out in the country so a car is probably needed but...
You are out in the country so a car is probably needed but the mountain views are wonderful and the quiet is lovely. It's a short drive to Killarney and all the shopping and restaurants you could ever want. The property was in a beautiful courtyard setting on the grounds of Beaufort House . Beautiful gardens, space and exterior for kids. It was nestled amongst a tranquil countryside setting .The house was spacious , charm and very homely. The hosts did their utmost to help us. It was only 10 minutes from the centre of Killarney so we had the best of both worlds. We will definately go back in the future. Jen is an excellent host, providing us with taxi numbers and offering a bacon sandwich for the drive home (hit the wedding a little too hard😆). It is a beautiful setting, with plenty of facilities for guests, and the breakfast was delicious! It seemed like it would be an amazing place to stay as a family with children. She recommended a walk loop with a nice view to a big lake and a beautiful waterfall. The Beaufort House has all we need for a holiday with small kids.
