Very comfortable and accommodating hotel, the rooms are spacious and well designed. The highlight, however, was the restaurant, both at dinner and at breakfast. The food was delicious. The restaurant is very well run by efficient and very helpful staff and they made us feel most welcome!!!

We booked three rooms for our family of 7. Two of them have been nicely updated. The family room was in need of new mattresses, but other than that it was great! You can’t beat the location! We loved having the bar downstairs to enjoy music. The staff was amazing. Mark helped us with our luggage and was such a nice young man. We would stay here again without a doubt.

Kathleens Country House is a great hotel just about 5 minutes by car from the center of Killarney. We booked two rooms, both of which were pleasantly spacious, well-furnished, and absolutely clean. The beds were very comfortable and provided a good night’s sleep. The proximity to the road was not an issue at night as there was hardly any traffic from late evening onwards. The bathrooms in both rooms were completely renovated, modern, and also absolutely clean. The staff at Kathleens Country House were all very friendly and helpful. Both during check-in and at breakfast, the staff were attentive and happy to assist. As is common in Ireland, a kettle, tea, and even coffee were provided in the room, so tea and coffee could be prepared at any time. The breakfast was good with something for everyone. The breakfast room is large enough to avoid any waiting times. I can wholeheartedly recommend Kathleens Country House if you are looking for accommodation in the area. It is very well suited as a starting point for excursions to the Kerry and Dingle peninsulas.
