A very warm welcome from the host’s sister who offered me a sandwich after a long journey. The house was superbly located with off road parking, a great view, the room was very quiet and comfortable with a lovely hot shower. Everything was very clean. Delicious self serve breakfast with a choice of things to eat. The host’s sister lives nearby so as a solo female traveller it was nice to know someone was on hand if needed. Also very relaxed around check out time. Really enjoyed my brief stay and it was a short onward trip to the Tarbert ferry

Carrig island lodge is in a stunning location with a gorgeous view of the castle, the house was absolutely immaculate and was fully equipped with anything you could of thought of like towels, shampoo etc.. as a family of 10 we all had loads of space in bedrooms and beds were so comfortable. Big surprise on a tour of Ireland. A very nice owner. Free room upgrade. Fantastic, clean and comfortable accommodation. Breakfast available in our own bistro (we didn't use it). A beautiful place to rest on our trip. We were thrilled and mainly rested. I will definitely use it again in the future!

I loved everything. It's ideally located, less than 10 minutes walk from the centre of Listowel. Aoife was lovely, very welcoming. We would definitely recommend it

Hosts are wonderful Super helpful and friendly They booked dinner for us at a nearby restaurant which was amazing. The room is spotless and lovely Pat cooked us a delicious breakfast in the morning and John gave us really useful travel tips. Highly recommend
