This was the first hotel of our India trip where we were greeted in perfect English. The hotel is beautifully restored and decorated, with comfortable beds and good showers. The restaurant is excellent, the pool area is well-maintained - this hotel more than meets the expectations of western travellers. We also liked the fact that the hotel had a tipping box for all staff, which avoids awkwardness when not knowing how much to tip the staff for the various services provided.

The environment was very quiet and I slept well. As anyone who has travelled in India for any length of time will know, tranquillity is the hardest thing to come by. The owners are very hospitable and provide excellent service. I would recommend a stay at this hotel.

True Rajasthani hospitality - cordial hosts, attentive and responsive. Excellent food, subtle spicing, very fresh and sattvik. Note there are no TVs or WiFi in the rooms, which is just fine for a certain type of traveller. Enormous yet cosy rooms, very clean and all with an ethnic Rajasthani flair. I am grateful that the lady of the house cooked extras for me, thank you. Anyone travelling between Delhi and Bikaner or Jaipur would do well to stop here for 2 nights.

Mandawa is an open air museum and Mandawa Kothi is an example of a tastefully renovated haveli. Mandawa Kothi is a very calming place where all staff are doing the utmost to make you feel happy and at home. They were also helpful in arranging tours and transport. Food was excellent and the room was very comfortable and well equipt.

We spent a amazing time in Mandawa's Hotel Shekhawati. . We had the best room for a very very fair price... The Hotel is an incredible authentic Haveli with so much wonderfully restored painting in the typical style of the traditional Mughal illustrations. But what really made our stay memorable, was the feeling of being welcomed in a warm and lovely family that was caring so friendly about our welfare. I recommand. Sincerely Shekhawati Hotel, and I really think this is truly an experience no one can mis visiting Mandawa,... 3 minits walking distance from all the major Havelis.
