Good opportunity to learn of the greatness of Sri Ram. After all Bhagawan Ram was the reincarnation of Lord Vishnu. So, learnt about His trip to Rameswaram from where He crossed the sea to reach Sri Lanka to rescue Mother Sita. Saw the floating rocks that were used to make the bridge between Rameswaram and Sri Lanka. That is testimony of fact that a floating bridge was built. Well worth visiting the temples. Arichal point sunrise view was more beautiful than Kanyakumari. You should be there by 6.00am sharp to view this beautiful scene. Kothandaramar temple inside the sea is mesmerizing. Lord Rama is with Seetha, lakshman, Hanuman and vibeeshnan ( brother of Ravana) Its believed that, Lord Rama committed Vibeeshna to make him the king of Srilanka after defeating Ramavana. And he fulfilled his promise later. Had a divine feel when we took the holy bath in the 22 wells. Had a great dharshan of Lord Ramanatha swamy and Ambal. Temple managed well by the authorities. Reception was used as a store room, room service was extremely poor, kitchen was dependent on the sister hotel which was 50 meters away, even a cup of tea order couldn't come till 45 minutes wait, but for that they charged without any apology.
