The location was beautiful. Right beside the beach and surrounded by tropical vegetation. Quiet, residential neighbourhood. Lovely sunsets. Perfect for a retreat from busy life. Host and his family were exceptionally kind and helpful.a real insight into Keralan life. Fishermen work nearby. A big garden with a hammock. Very relaxing. Good wifi if needed. Lena and Juth were very friendly They are trying to promote the town to help the community, so they opened one homestay. They are very attend to every request and enjoy a chat always offering tea Give good advice on where to go and what to do They have a nice garden with giant bats at night. The beach is not easy to reach, but once you're on it, you are on a beautiful dessert beach Next to a church Walking distance from small shops It is a nice homestay Good price value Do not forget to take your mosquito repellent

This place is amazing. Its a little own oasis within beutiful small houses and a pool that is just stunning. The staff are soooo friendly and advice you in the right direction with the chioces for daytrips and backwater sightseeing. Honestly, the personalle seem to have very fun at thier jobs which also reflects in thier service. Also the bathroom in the hut without seaview is amazing. Loved it all!

Exquisite lakeside property, beautifully looked after by the staff. Vinod and his team went to every length to make our stay magical. The food is very very good, home made tagliatelle with clams fished from the lake, fabulous curries and a different veg at every meal. Pool was lovely to swim in with the smell of frangipani wafting from the tree as I did my lengths. We saw otters playing by the jetty every day and fisherman going by or collecting sand. It is very peaceful and we didn’t end up leaving the property as it was such bliss

This is such a beautiful and unique place to stay! Wake up to see the sun rising over the backwaters. The owner and staff are so kind, friendly and helpful. I came with 6 of my Yoga students as part of a tour of Kerala and everyone loved it here. They also cooked dinner and breakfast for us which was so delicious! You could taste the love in the food. The owner Shanavas helped me book a houseboat months in advance which turned out great! I highly recommend this quiet and tranquil place!

    The host was wonderfull, the room was beutifull and the...

    The host was wonderfull, the room was beutifull and the place and neighborhood was quiet. There was no other turists around. The host cooked a good fish dinner for us and also made tea and coffe when we needed it (the latter for free). The beach close by is not really for swimming as the waves are to large and nobody else is swimming. It was a bit hot so we needed AC during the night which costed additional 350 Rs. This place is really worth a visit if you like quiet beuty. The host also helped arranging local tranport at good prices.
