The place is nothing compared to Munnar (been there 6 times). The city is too crowded, dirty, and full of disgusting restaurants. There's not much to see outside the city as well as the place is barely 1000m from sea level. Do not go there expecting stunning mountain top views, cloud-covered peaks, or beautiful meadows. Even the tea estates looked dry, uneven, and neglected. The hotels are overpriced! People are helpful welcoming and food is good. everything what we need for a perfect outing is here, beautiful places for sightseeing, just can be bit over priced, but it's worth and is homely. Doddabetta peak was very interesting. So was the Botanical gardens. Boating in the lake had very few options. Only large motor boat and large canoe. Nothing in between. These boats we very large and expensive for the 3 of us.Guest review byB SIndia
