The location of the Owl apartment was perfect for our long day on the Snaefellsnes peninsula. The apartment was furnished with everything we needed. Cute owls watched over our rest all night. The owner has put so much care into furnishing and decorating this little apartment. We had a huge private bathroom with towel warming rack and toiletries. There is a small table with two chairs, and a coffee machine with a variety of coffee, teas, and hot chocolate provided, along with plates, mugs, and utensils, and a small fridge for our groceries. The bed is so comfy and the neighborhood is quiet so we had a relaxing rest. Our schedule did not give us time to enjoy our private fenced outdoor garden area with seating. The communication with the owner was excellent, and information for self check-in was sent well in advance. We even had a convenient parking space right in front. If we are ever in Iceland again, we'll definitely stay at the Owl apartment.

This is the 2nd time we stayed at this property. The last Iceland trip we had 10yrs ago, we stayed here. The cabin looks in the same cleanliness, though after 10yrs, it does look a little aged. But the overall comfort and cleanliness is still good. We would still come here the next time we visit Iceland.

They were very kind and helpful but also the hotel was super clean and modern looking. They were top notch quality for a reasonable price in Iceland. Plus they had a spa! We loved our stay there.

The cottage where we stay was really clean and the kitchen has every kitchen things. When you turn on the hot water I could smell of sulfer but the water came from the natural hot spring, so it was pretty good experience for me.

Our room was a little small however it was extremally comfortable, very clean and had everything we required. It had a great shower and really nice products and a very comfortable bed. The location was very good, close to the center with lots of restaurants and bars beside us. The breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choice both hot and cold. The hotel even provided us with a take away breakfast on the morning we checked out early. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Newly renovated during the spring of 2023, Hotel Local 101 is an independent hotel quietly tucked away in the heart of downtown Reykjavik, on a charming street made up of classical Icelandic homes.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful and full of great tips on what to do in the area! They were very supportive when our flight was cancelled and helped us out a ton immediately. the beds / matrasses were super clean and comfy (on the hard side) Breakfast was decent, nothing crazy but filling, the location was also top, very central / walkable
