Iceland is a very expensive place to travel and this guest house was average price for Iceland but the quality of the rooms were low average. Our room had such a bad slope on it we had to sleep at the other end of the bed with our heads above our feet. The bathroom had a toilet in the middle of the room, you had to walk around it to get to the shower and even though the room came with breakfast included it was very poor quality.Guest review byLinford - 10.0

We stayed in Kirkjubaerjarklaustur and made day trips to the glacier and to black beach. If you have a car, it is a great place. The scenery is beautiful and it is a good location to explore the south eastern part of the island. It is a bit of a drive for groceries and I suggest you buy them in Reykjavik or at a larger town on the way to the south.Guest review byTPRUnited States

We stayed for one night, there are three great kitchens and a large dining area. In the summer it must be fun to eat by the nearby creek. Great views of the vast Icelandic nature. My teenage kids were satisfied. Overall very good first impression. It was the cheapest in the area when I booked, but I believe the price to value ratio is fair. The house is a generous size, equipped to a very high standard and decorated tastefully. Star of the show are the incredible views over the coast near Kirkjubæjarklaustur and it's a great place to hang out and relax for a family or a group of friends.
