Very cosy hotel in the city centre, excellent location next to everything. You can walk around the city. Nice breakfast, big rooms where you feel like home. Free coffee and tea all day at the reception. Warm, clean, comfortable. Also nespresso machine in the room. We could even see the northern lights from the hotel!

Great quiet location with Mountain View but just 1 minute walk from the central streets of Reykjavík. Home like atmosphere , clean room which smells of freshness everyday. Literally packed with any thing you might need for personal care and for preparing a meal. . Comfortable large beds and more than enough heat to forget the cold outside. Elevators are available for higher levels and spotted one outside next to the outer stair. Reception staff was warm, friendly and very helpful. Excellent!

Absolutely amazing! Everything that I need and even more than I could have wished for. The rooms are very comfortable and towels and soap are provided, there's a common room that you can go at anytime to have a drink, eat your food or just chill on a loungey atmosphere. The staff is really friendly and will be happy to advice you on what to see and how to get around the city. I completely discovered the chain City hub at Reykjavik and think there should more places with the same concept around the world. Really I have nothing negative to say: it is calm, the system is clever and everything is thought for you to enjoy your stay!

Iceland is an expensive place to eat and drink.

Iceland is an expensive place to eat and drink. We had breakfast included in our room rate each day so saved quite a few dollars. We had a rental car, the hotel had no parking. We soon worked out where to park the car near the hotel overnight for free. Parking is strictly enforced in Iceland. We used supermarkets to buy or make our lunches and dinners where we spent out in restaurants (not cheap). The cheapest place to eat is Ikea - you need a car to get there unless public transport by bus can be worked out. Snorkelling between the tectonic plates was the best. Hot pools in Laugarvatn Fontana Geothermal Baths was excellent and not expensive (take a towel from the hotel). Blue Lagoon is over rated and too expensive.

People are very relaxed, helpfull and very pleasent. The city is not large, can be walked accross. We had not much time for excursions, 'couse it was a business trip, we tried to see the aurora, but no luck )-:. Also visited the Blue Lagoon, nice experience. In all, it is a nice place to visit, but too expensive for my taste.

There are lots of little streets to discover with hidden gems be it for food or shopping there is plenty of choice ,we ate at Reykjavik fish restaurant its just beside rainbow road, the prices are reasonable and the food is great, parking is no problem in the city just keep driving till you see a spot .Sightseeing in the city with the cool looking church at night lit up. The lighthouse is about 15 mins drive were you might catch the norther lights. We had a four day stay so much of our time was travelling south.

Reykjavik is quite easy to walk around in the downtown core.

Reykjavik is quite easy to walk around in the downtown core. Pretty buildings, great shopping, lots of restaurant choices, etc. We loved going to the pools and it was a good place to start our tour of Iceland. Prepare for expensive restaurant meals, but everywhere we ate was delicious. We enjoyed the whale museum, lava centre, museum of Iceland, and the Perlan (the only northern lights we got to see on our trip!).

My son and I traveled to Iceland for a 5 night vacation, staying in Reykjavik for a total of 3 nights. What a wonderful, safe, friendly city! We stayed downtown in 2 different areas, both walkable to the many museums, restaurants, and shopping districts. Reykjavik is colorful, with buildings and street art abundant. Reykjavik is also expensive, as is all of Iceland, so prepare to spend almost double for food, drink, and gifts as you would in the U.S. That being said, I loved it, and will be back!

The hotel has self check-in, and once we figured out the keypads for the doors (we were entering the wrong code initially 🤣), this made it super simple throughout our stay! The rooms were huge, modern and had everything you need! Location is perfect, right in the centre of Reykjavík with bars and restaurants all around! If hiring a car, the Tradarkot car park round the corner is ideal and super cheap! £1.50 for the first hour and then £0.75/hour thereafter!!

Ideally situated hotel in Reykjavik, close to port and in the citycenter. Loads of restaurants and shops nearby. Front desk was very helpful and booked our transport to the airport (which is not linked to the hotel, but they made the reservation). Reasonable price considering the others and the good location.
