Bitonto - interesting, small Borgo very close to Bari. If you want to see a real Apuglian village with lots of authentic and less touristic life then you are spot on. The accomodation was perfect.

The location, the view, comfort, spotlesness, the breakfast setup, everything you could possibly think of was an absolute 5 star. The accommodation is right by the beautiful cathedral, a fairly calm part of the old town with the easiest access to bakeries, restaurants, cute little bars, 24hr vending machine spots, and great location for calm evening walks. The owner keeps the breakfast table full at all times (brioch, muffins, croissants, marmelades, tea, coffee machine, in the fridge fruit yoghurts, juices, water, etc.) and the balcony is perfect for a morning coffee with a view. The whole place is super clean (its ridiculous how good and fresh everything smells all the time), beds are soooo comfy, and everything was really cozy. We felt at home the whole time we were there and wished we could've stayed longer. Will absolutely be coming back :)))

One of the best locations to visit Bari and the surrounding area! Bari is 30 minutes away with proper route planning (choosing the right bus departure time and train/metro). We arrived at 21:30, but the last train was canceled, so a bus came to pick us up. The owner of the apartment was very kind and came to pick us up as well 🙈 😊, for which we are very grateful. He met us at our apartment, even though it was quite late at around 23:59. We are very grateful to him. It was a large, clean apartment. It had everything you need for living, and it was very modern and comfortable. The apartment was in an old building, but it was very comfortable and pleasant. There was a square and a beautiful cathedral nearby. Bitonto is a very lively and unique city, with friendly and lovely people. You can also go to the nearby towns to visit the sea. We will be happy to come back again.

Bitonto is the town of my ancestors.

Bitonto is the town of my ancestors. It was my first time in Italy, and I went to Bitonto to do research on my family. it’s a beautiful town with kind people, excellent food and historic buildings and churches. I was there for the procession of the Madonna, and it was very moving. Lots to do! Felt at home.

Not as full of tourists as Lecce and other popular tourist destinations. Pleasant architecture, not quite as rococo as Lecce. More of a local feel. Prices were very reasonable, people were friendly although few could speak English and there were excellent food shops where excellent Mozzarella and Pecorino could be purchased

At a first sight it is nothing more than a city near airport...

At a first sight it is nothing more than a city near airport, where you sleep last night before your flight departs. But the you discover charming historic city centre with lively cafés and restaurants around the cathedral and suddenly you wish you could spend more time in Bitonto.

I needed a last-minute hotel as my flight was modified, and I couldn't have chosen better! The apartment was located just a few minutes' walking distance from the old town, it was very clean, and the host was the best ever: extremely helpful and responsive. Parking was easy despite the National Day festivities, and the little town was a pleasant surprise: you should visit it on purpose when in the region.

If you are considering Bitonto - Bari, defiantly Bitonto. Location of the place is outstanding! Old town but in second line of budling so you will have close to mayor attractions and quiet at night. Object for max 3 person, first floor main room, middle floor bedroom, highest floor kitchen, bathroom + terrace. Great contact with owner.

Self-check in via box on the street which was super easy, the location for Bitonto is good, because it is in the city center, however you are not allowed to park there so a 5 min walk. Value for money is ok. 20 min car ride to Bari and 15 to the airport. The host is super helpful via whatsapp as to where to park, etc.
