The best place in Sardinia. Cute Italian town with picturesque houses, great restaurants and the best gelato. We loved going from beach to beach, they all possess different qualities, but they are all lovely with the bluest water I’ve seen. You definitely need a car or a Vespa to get the best experience. Taking a boat trip for a day is also a must! Would strongly recommend spending a few days in La Maddalena!
The waters surrounding La Maddalena are stunning, the closest to the Caribbean I have experienced in the Mediterranean. La Maddalena is relatively small and easy to get around with a car. Depending on where you are staying, beaches may be within walking distance. Sailing or other boating outings highly recommended to truly enjoy all the islands have to offer.
La Maddalena is such a beautiful island, loved the geology of the island and felt very comfortable in the town. We also spent a day on Isola do Caprera and though this was incredibly beautiful too - such stunning beaches, great walks and remarkable historical sites.
We were there 4 nights. We ate at the "off the beaten track" restaurants and a couple little pubs. It's easy to get around on foot or by car. Research boat tours before going, I think I would book a small sailboat tour next time as opposed to a large boat. A car is helpful to getting around the Island and visiting different beaches.
Loved it, wish I had more time. If you can hire a car, I'd recommend that so you can get to all the beautiful beaches. Go for a sail tour also! So many options for restaurants. I stayed 2 nights, could have easily stayed 4 min. Lots of music & entertainment. Enjoy!
We enjoyed La Magdalena marina/ town, and Perla blu restaurant. We also enjoyed the tour of the different Islands, specially Spargi Island with its crystal clear water and beautiful bays and beaches which was out of this world.
Staff were super helpful and kind, gave us a free upgrade which was really appreciated with our 20month old who had the space to run around ! Restaurant was great with good amount of choice, beach bar and pool setup lovely, and the private beach had several different areas so never felt remotely busy. An amazing base for anyone wanting to explore the Maddalena archipelago (which everyone should - it's stunning ) and seriously good value for money in high season compared to NE Sardinia mainland hotels
La Maddalena
We loved staying here ! We had our own balcony & one on top of the property where we could relax after beach days or dinner. Everything was very clean and beach towels & beach bag were provided. It is a very short walk to town for dinner, shopping, patisserie & gelato- very convenient. 5 min ride to marina to get our excursion and just a little further to Punta Tegee beach. Other beaches in Caprera & La Maddalena all approximately 15-30 min drive.
La Maddalena
I want to start by saying that Tizzy is a very kind and helpful host. He recommended the best places to eat and visit, which made exploring La Maddalena both easier and more delightful. The apartment itself is a real charm—very clean, fully equipped, with large windows and a lovely view of the seaside. Its location is also great, just about a 15-minute walk to the city center. The private parking inside a safe garage was extremely convenient and much appreciated.
La Maddalena
Excellent accommodation at the very heart of La Maddalena, very central and close to everything that one needs. Across the street there is a bus stop for two local lines that go to the beaches. Also right across the street is the ferry port, which makes it super accessible for getting there from mainland Sardinia. The best thing about it is the superb terrace with a fantastic view over the harbour.
Overall the hotel is very good, and our large room with a balcony was excellent. The view was outstanding. Breakfast was good, and the pool area was nice. The staff are friendly and helpful overall. The pool is large, very clean and the pool area is large for sunbaking or lounging around.
La Maddalena
Perfect place; very well located, cozy and comfortable, but the best part is for sure the owner Betta, she made us feel like in home, and with her kindness and help she made our trip the best one from Sardinia. We highly recommend to stay here and we are looking forward to comeback!
La Maddalena
Absolutely the most private and pleasurable place to stay for a couple wanting a sneaky get away. We enjoyed every moment of our stay at this exclusive hideaway. We rented a car from Sardinia’s Olbia airport and headed over on the ferry to La Madellena.
Beautiful views from the breakfast room. The hotel sits on a point next to the harbor. You can sit outside and enjoy a cocktail or have breakfast. I was there just after they closed the restaurant for the season. It is about a 10 minute walk into town.
Is very close to the center and very easy to move around the city center. You have a nice balcony where you can enjoy a glass of wine. For La Maddalena you need a car or a scooter and they offer you a parking place which is great.
everything was exceptional, the rooms were well appointed and all the staff were excellent. I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone wanting to stay at La Maddalena. So central and so comfortable.
La Maddalena
The staff was very friendly, and the hotel was super clean. They cleaned the room twice a day, which was almost excessive, but we really appreciated it. Location was great, pool area was also looking natural.
La Maddalena
Newly renovated spacious room and bathroom. Comfortable bed, good air conditioning. Host was friendly and helpful. Lap pool looked inviting. Good security. Had a great time in La Maddalena. Thanks Marco
Very friendly welcome by the hotel staff, who made us feel at home. Very centric and yet quiet location. We were upgraded to a suite, which was a really nice room.
HUGH room with modern upscale design. Probably one of the biggest hotel bathrooms I’ve ever seen! Private parking area and walking distance to the center of town.
