The best place in Sardinia.
The best place in Sardinia. Cute Italian town with picturesque houses, great restaurants and the best gelato. We loved going from beach to beach, they all possess different qualities, but they are all lovely with the bluest water I’ve seen. You definitely need a car or a Vespa to get the best experience. The waters surrounding La Maddalena are stunning, the closest to the Caribbean I have experienced in the Mediterranean. La Maddalena is relatively small and easy to get around with a car. Depending on where you are staying, beaches may be within walking distance. We were there 4 nights. We ate at the "off the beaten track" restaurants and a couple little pubs. It's easy to get around on foot or by car. Research boat tours before going, I think I would book a small sailboat tour next time as opposed to a large boat. Loved it, wish I had more time. If you can hire a car, I'd recommend that so you can get to all the beautiful beaches. Go for a sail tour also! So many options for restaurants. We only spent 2 nights here, but wished we had stayed longer as we really enjoyed it. The beds were really comfortable. Having a parking is also a great plus. Reading some of the comments we were afraid that the parking might be very difficult, but it was not the case at all. It was the best accommodation we had in Sardinia.
