- overstaffed, but in a good way, there's always someone everywhere to assist you in need, very professional all of them - great spa area for relaxing - big infinity pool with a nice view over the valley - nice view from the rooms - comprehensive breakfast, a lot of fruits, juices, cheese selection - a lot of free activities included (bike rides, focaccia / cocktail lessons, wine tasting) and various small complimentary gifts

The hotel is excellent, our room was in a part separated from the central building, everything was excellent, clean, comfortable, quiet. The pool and the area around it are clean and tidy, with enough sunbeds. The location is great, everything is relatively close, yet you are separate and have your own peace. The food in the restaurant is excellent, as is the wine selection. For every recommendation.

Two young men are running this hotel, with a high scene of hostility and a rare touch of familiarity. We were happily surprised over this lovely gem, and will definitely both recommend this place to everyone and will absolutely come back. Stay here in this lovely little village for a more authentic experiece in the San Gimignano area and let the hotel owners bring you to the local restaurants and bars! Villa Mucellena is a must if you want to visit Tuscany. We stayed there for three nights on our road trip through Italy and we were so amazed by the experience that we came back at the end of our trip to spend there our last three nights. Viola is the best host you can imagine. She is friendly, responsive and always happy to give us some good local recommendations. If you go there, definitely do not miss out on booking a dinner, if she makes one. Even better than most of the restaurants we visited. She also offers a cooking class where we learned how we could take a small piece of Tuscany with us back home. Truly a great experience we will surely make again next year!
