While we walked a bit around the town, and bought some lovely souvenirs from a local shop, we did not have enough time to see the beach, take a hike, or use the local bus to see other parts of the island. Great little village with lots of delicious restaurants ad shops and galleries. Lots of fruit trees and a really cute beach (Spiaggia dello Scario). The village has a small supermarket, and has very good access to the rest of the island via the bus system, or by hiring a car or scooter at the various hire companies in the village.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
We could have stayed in Malfa for at least a month!
We could have stayed in Malfa for at least a month! It was a quiet, peaceful town, with a small main street with a handful of shops, and maybe three restaurants, and more of a takeout cafe. We had excellent, leisurely meals at two of the restaurants, and really enjoyed the staff at both. We walked down to the beach one day, and loved it, but it was otherwise a lazy few days in a spectacularly beautiful place with very pleasant people. Perfectly located behind San Lorenzo’s church and a stone throw from the bus stop. A very cosy and home like apartment. Matteo and his mum Lucia are very friendly and warm people, always keen to help and never losing their smile! Bonus for us was the orchestra playing in the villa opposite us. Malfa is the perfect place to stay in Salina, right in the epicentre and close to everything. The view from the terrace is absolutely spectacular! Gracias! The staff is so lovely, kind, and helpful. They always greeted us with a smile and were ready to help with anything we needed. We also really enjoyed the delicious lunches on their airy terrace.
