Very pretty Tyrolean town. Lots to see. Great for walking without having to hike. Great river walks. A mix of Austria and Italy. A friendly welcoming place. Lots of lovely restaurants, cafes and bars and they are not over expensive. The scenery is beautiful. We were there mid June and it wasn't too busy. Very relaxed atmosphere. Merano provides free transport for tourists with the payment...
Merano provides free transport for tourists with the payment of the tourist tax. We could travel easily to Bolzano and from there we could use the cable car to the Ritten Plateau and the funicular at the top. So many beautiful things to see and do! The restaurant, breakfast and afternoon tees with a nice cake were great. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Starting from Federica and Nicola, many thanks to all.
