Everything was very clean and comfortable. We went up to the roof top bar which was very nice for an evening drink. The staff could not do enough for us. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The location was brilliant - we loved the canals.

I can't say enough good things about Girasole and Matteo. He was so sweet and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. And my room was modern, spotless, and cleaned everyday. It was huge, by the way, with a little couch, table, and high ceilings. The garden is amazing. The area is close to a Metro stop, which makes getting around easy, even to and from the airports. It is a little outside of town, which is a plus because it was quiet and safe, but does take a little longer to get to places. The local area had plenty to explore. See if you can spot a lady who works at the cafe, pizza shop and local bar. I don't know when she sleeps. Lovely all around.

Milan is a good place to visit for a day or two but we didn't feel there was enough here to stay any longer. Even in October the main areas were over crowded, and tourist traps are everywhere. It's also very aparent that the air quality is poor, with both of us feeling rough after leaving.

    Wow!! So much to see.

Wow!! So much to see. It is tiring but worth every ache and pain! The canals are fantastic . Great for a pre dinner drink. Ensure you book 6 weeks in advance for the Last supper at the Santa Maria. The Duomo and shopping areas are breathtaking. The Dorian Grand Hotel although it lacks some facilities is the perfect hotel both for its grandeur and its location. The coffee and cakes are super lovely . Milan is just amazing!

Cathedral is jaw dropping - we did the roof walk - well worth doing. Used the hop on and hop off bus for 2 days (much better value) and did the whole circuit on day one and went back to our selected locations for a longer visit on day two. The Castello grounds are well worth a visit as is the museum of Arts (free entry) at the far end of the castle gardens. Loads of nice restaurants if you move away from the top tourist spots. Felt very safe walking around while we were there. We really enjoyed a visit to the Canals which are located to the south of the city - nice canal side restaurants and bars - we had no idea Milan had canals. Final tip - find the Luna Rossa Osteria/Restaurant in Via Broletto and go for lunch, but be there by 12 noon as it fills up with locals very rapidly - doesn't look much from the outside but serves fantastic food with a great atmosphere.

I enjoyed my two-day visit to Milan--a real city populated mostly by actual Italians rather than tourists--more than stays in Venice and Florence. The Villa Necchi Campiglio, Triennale di Milano, Biblioteca Pinacoteca Ambrosiana and the Cimiterio Monumentale as well as more visited sights like the Cenacolo Vinciano Museum, the Duomo, Vittorio Emmanuelle II Galleria and the Museo Teatrale Alla Scala far exceeded my expectations. The metro system could not be more easily navigated with contactless payment and there were multiple restaurant options including Maio's on the terrace of the Rinascente department store across from the Duomo and Osteria Rustica Cavallini which makes a VERY big deal out of what would be just another hot fudge sundae in America.

We liked visiting the Duomo—we accessed it using the Culture Pass (Duomo, Museum, Crypt, Archaeological site). We went at 9am, which allowed us to see the sites at the cathedral before attending Mass at 11am which was really special even though we couldn’t understand the homily due to our limited Italian. If you are there on the first Sunday of the month, check out the Sforza Castle museums for free; be sure to arrive between 10 and 4 to get in. Our favorite meal was at Antica Hosteria della Lanterna near the city center for set-price lunches (€11) and reasonably priced dinners (primi from €10, secondi from €16, heavenly tiramisu for €4). We also loved Trattoria San Filippo Neri for a cool, buzzy atmosphere in an outdoor courtyard with heaters—go for apertivo with €5 drinks and fritti for two for under €10, stay because the vibes are so good. Service was also great. We recommend using public transit—their tap on/tap off system works with contactless cards for a convenient experience, or tickets are available at every metro station.

Of all the cities we visited, Milan was our favorite.

Of all the cities we visited, Milan was our favorite. It is a very welcoming city with all the activity you would expect from a major city. The electric trollies offer a great way to see the city, and the architecture of the buildings were amazing. Loved the various alleys and walkways for pedestrians. This city has style and it shows on every block.

Location in the middle of Milan, only 10 min from the Metro and then 10 minutes later you're in the city centre! Appartment is nice, cosy and clean. You can make your own breakfast or go out eating nearby or in the centre. This place is perfect for a city-trip. Host is very friendly and helpful, they are trying to do their very best to help you with what you need. Host also speaks very good english. Parking is great, in a parking box, it felt very safe! Bed are very good, they harder than in hotels but they were perfect for us.

The hotel is located in an old building, but inside is completely renovated. It is located in the city centre of Milan, in a neighbourhood which conjugate old and modern, very lively, with many restaurants and bars. The room we stayed had windows on a courtyard, which made it very quiet. The price is reasonable for such a kind of hotel in Milan.
