Muggia is a small coastal town near Trieste...and it is a very happening town that comes alive at night...where families come together at the central square for ice creams and some good food...I really liked the entire vibe of this town it's very clean and quiet and extremely relaxing...the restaurant has fresh seafood options if you're into seafood and amazing wines and a really good seafront to walk around. i really liked it...calm and relaxing place.
We liked Muggia. It is small and easy to navigate the old town. The main Piazza has several bars and cafes, friendly and welcoming for a drink or a meal, and fun for people watching. There are more cafes and bars towards the waterfront. Just stroll around and enjoy the relative tranquility. We arrived in Trieste by train, taxi to Muggia was around 35 euros. We took a day trip back to Trieste by ferry (fun in itself), and did lots of walking from Muggia. It's a nice respite from the tourist circuit, and so pretty with stone buildings and small alleyways, plus the castle (exterior) and Duomo to enjoy. Muggia Vecchio, up on the hill behind, was well worth the walk.

The location is great, you can enjoy the view across the whole bay of Trieste from the balcony. I also loved the possibility to rent a parking spot in the garage right across the street. The studio is brand new and well equipped. A really enjoyable stay for us. You have the historic centre of Muggia and several great places to eat in walking distance. Also, take the ferry instead of the car to go to Trieste. But you can take the car and make a nice roadtrip down the coast to Slovenia or even Croatia, since you are super close to the border.

It is the very nice appartments in the central part of old town with view to the marina. The really big appartments. I have chance to try all of them due to my mistake. But I get really nice support from owner. And all are perfect. All restorants are very close. Very good place for wolking. I think it is the best place in Muggia for 1-2 days of visit. You have evrithing in 5 min arround including the supermarket and bus station. To central of Trieste around 40 min by bus.
Muggia
An out of town location which suited us and a warm greeting from Paolo on arrival. Plenty of free parking on site and the room was a big space. It was warm so we appreciated the aircon in our bedroom. We enjoyed the outdoor space and could eat at our patio table with items purchased at Muggia supermarket, and with the good wine Paolo gifted us. Breakfast was very good. And Paolo also gifted us a second bottle of wine on our departure!
Muggia
Cozy and welcoming place, spotlessly cleaned, spacious rooms and with a phenomenal central location in the heart of Muggia. 3 floor apartment that fit perfectly and comfortably the 4 of us for our 3 day stay. Francesco was super friendly and helpful for whatever necessity or questions. Cherry on top, breakfast included in the apartment with local sweets. 100% will book again when back in Muggia!
We received a very warm and helpful greeting from the owner when we first arrived. A restaurant booking was promptly sorted for us just a short walk from the hotel. We were given a map and advice on where to go, what to see and how best to get there. Staff were helpful and friendly and the view was amazing. We had a great balcony to sit out on.
Muggia
Very spacious apartment with large rooftop terrace, would also fit a (larger) family. Easy to walk to groceries, bakeries and restaurants in central Muggia. Good alternative if you want to visit Trieste (take the ferry) or go cycling along the coast (start of Parenzana).

Perfect location in the port of Muggia, with a wonderful view of the boats. The apartment is nice, clean and spacious. We were very satisfied. Plus, it's dog friendly!!!
The perfect hotel for those who prefer a quiet holiday without the crowds. Very nice reception staff.
