Staying hundred yards from iconic Hotel Hassler, being Hepburn home while filming scenes playing a princess in “Roman Holiday,” is something really special. Spanish steps in 3 minutes and you are entering in realm of ancient and vibrant Rome, all by foot. Great location. Ancinet buliding outside, vintage stairway and elevator and then completely renovated apartment in modern clasical style. Stuff is there when you need them, great recommendations for restaurants and all what you would need.

Brand new hotel, beautiful and clean rooms with luxurious bathrooms. The hallways smelled really nice and it was very quiet. They had big flat screen tvs in the room with netflix/disney+/hulu/etc. The breakfast was enjoyable. Overall a very comfortable and safe place to stay.

Location is great, close to major tourist attractions, 3 minutes to Trevi fountain 5 minutes to Spanish steps, 15 minutes’ walk to Colosseum. Breakfast was okay not great but not bad. We arrived at breakfast often around 9:30 and always had to ask for cheese or cold-cuts and glasses. Next time we will skip the breakfast and just go to next coffeeshop.

The apartment is very well located, a few minutes from the Vatican and near the metro station, on a pedestrian street. It is very clean and stylish. There are many shops and cafes around. The owner is extremely kind, he waited for us late at night because the plane was very late, and on the day of departure, he allowed us to leave our luggage in the apartment until the evening. I highly recommend this apartment. Cristina, Romania

Come to Rome if you haven't before.

Come to Rome if you haven't before. If you have: go somewhere else. Overtourism destroys the places it claims to love, and diminishes the experience for everyone. Spread out, humans! There are so many great places to go that still feel the way the famous ones did three generations ago when tourists started flooding them.

We spent three days in Rome and 3 in Florence. Rome exceeded our expectations! We saw all the usual tourist sights - the Vatican and St. Peter's, the Pantheon, the Colosseum and surrounding areas and the Borghese. We walked to the Spanish steps and also to Trevi Fountain. We got guided tours for the really popular attractions - the Colosseum and the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel. A nice surprise for us were the gardens of the Villa Borghese - it was so nice to see some green space! We walked everywhere, except for one bus ride, which was easy to use and very clean and efficient. We had been warned about safety, but I never felt unsafe or that anyone was getting too close. No bad meals - everything we had was simply delicious. People were so friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay even more than I had hoped!

Rome is like an open-air museum. Every corner has history from the Colosseum and Roman Forum to the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. You can literally walk through centuries of art, architecture, and culture in one day. The city is compact enough to explore on foot. Staying near Piazza di Spagna, Trevi Fountain, or Piazza Navona puts you in the heart of everything.

Liked religious sites and the fact that there were more English speaking workers at restaurants. Didn't like a lot of the food we had or ambiance. Florence is better feeling more upscale and clean. If you want to see historic sites and relax go to Florence. Also visited Naples which was worst ambiance (full of graffiti, crowded, speeding vehicles, loud, unfriendly people if don't speak Italian). Rome was a mixture of Florence and Naples. Also, Vatican is its own country so when the Pope decides to close something it does, he's the sole ruler. So unfortunately our $150 tickets to the basilica of St. Peter were a waste because he closed the basilica the entire morning. When it reopened at 1pm the wait line was 2.5 hours of waiting outside in the very hot sun, so we weren't able to get in.

Public transport in Rome is very unreliable.

Public transport in Rome is very unreliable. Due to frequent strikes, it may not operate at all or only partially. The official schedules in apps are often inaccurate, arrival times are not respected and often delayed, and some listed connections simply don’t show up — you just wait and hope the next one comes. However, when the metro is running, it’s fairly frequent.

Piccola Navona was our best stay in Italy. Impressively clean and the staff were amazing, it’s location a plus. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels in the past, many of them not too accommodating. Alberto, Juliet, and the rest of the staff at Piccola Navona has been an absolute star, from arranging our transportation from the airport, to ensuring we had the correct mattress and pillows for our comfort, and having our room cleaned with fresh towels daily. We will definitely stay here again at our next trip to Rome.

This is definitely a rare find! The staff treated us like we were kings and queens and the bed was extra comfortable and the best part of our stay was the breakfast! In all of my trips to Italy, I have never eaten italian cornetti (croissant) that were that good! I’m always traveling for work and it is the first time that I can say that a hotel is definitely cheaper than what they should actually charge! I really recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Rome!

This hotel was a surprise and probably the best of our stay in Italy. The entrance is through large double doors into an old building and then directed to 4th floor in an ancient (but efficient) lift. On entering the foyer it is modern, clean and such a surprise. The beds were extremely comfy and the bathroom was lovely. When we checked out very early we were given a breakfast box, a nice touch.

It is the best hotel we had reserved in Italy. It’s high value for money. It was not only good location but also reasonable in price. It had great facilities and clean rooms. The staffs were very kind and enthusiastic. But we didn’t have breakfast because we forgot that our hotel bill included breakfast. I hope I can taste breakfast next time I go to Rome.
