Molto bene!!! I was looking for a tranquil, comfortable yet quality resort on the Sicilian waterfront, away from the bustle of Catania and Taormina but close enough to visit these districts when I wanted … and the Santantonio Resort met all of this, and more! The hotel is modern with some clever design features and with consideration to many details that discerning travellers would expect/demand. The hotel is extremely well presented with quality finishes, decor and refinements throughout. My suite was very comfortable. From the website and photos all of this, I was expecting. However, the hospitality of the staff was exceptional and certainly exceeded my expectations. The owners and the staff were courteous, professional, attentive and friendly, but I never felt that they were ever intrusive. The restaurant fare was excellent no matter whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner, and attention by the staff, superb. The Chef uses only premium local produce to present dishes of the highest quality, thank you! The pool and relaxation areas were cleverly laid out so that residents can best enjoy the facilities. A special thank you to Hannah for the warm welcome when I first arrived at the hotel (and much later than I was anticipating, sorry!). Special thanks too to Mariella, for looking after me (and my suite) and to Carla, Evelyn, Cinzia and Luca for taking care of me in the bar and restaurant throughout. A big thank you also to Hannah, Mary and Carmella for ensuring everything ran smoothly throughout and to Antonio for showing me around some of the local sights. 

I truly enjoyed my stay at Santantonio Resort and would recommend it to those seeking peace and tranquility in a quality environment. I look forward to my next visit…

My stay at Atlantis Palace Hotel was truly enjoyable from start to finish. The hotel offers a great combination of comfort, quality service, and a fantastic location close to the beach. The rooms were spacious, well-kept, and had all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The staff was always friendly and professional, making sure guests felt welcome and looked after. The pool area was a highlight — clean, well-organized, and perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. We came with our mountain bikes to train around Mount Etna for the whole week. We had a beautiful spot outside the hotel with a patio and a view over Zafferana. At first, we struggled a bit with the four-star atmosphere and the formal dining setup. But by the end of the week, we left as friends, especially with Simona 🤎 at the reception and Salvo 👋🙌 and his older friend 👨‍💼in the restaurant. We love these people. Best regards, and highly recommended!

    There's not much to San Leonardello and it's not a...

    There's not much to San Leonardello and it's not a destination in itself perhaps - it's a small place between the city of Catania and the town of Giarre - but it was a lovely little base for my stay. You can drive to Etna easily; it's only 30 minutes from Catania (accessible by car, train from nearby Carruba, or bus), and 40 mins onwards to Taormina (also reachable by train). For me it was really handy for the Radicepura Botanical Gardens where I was attending a course (Radicepura is open to the public). The restaurant at Il Melograno is a fantastic and worth a repeat visit, and La Serre pizza/pasta/Sicilian restaurant in the village serves the best pizzas I've ever eaten, all with a sunset view of Etna from the terrace.
