This boutique hotel greatly exceeded our expectations. The room was beautiful, and included a small balcony. The breakfast was a very large buffet with homemade pastries, espresso, bacon, eggs, and more.Lorenzo was friendly and helpful with suggestions on visiting Portofino and other sites. He held our luggage for us and arranged for a taxi as we waited in the breakfast room he had opened for us. It’s a short walk from the beach and many restaurants and stores.

Great location in the heart of beautiful Santa Margherita Ligure – just a lovely 45-minute walk to Portofino but the scenery is so nice you’ll enjoy it, an easy bus ride to Rapallo, and a quick train from Genoa. Train, buses all close to hotel. The views from the room were absolutely superb. I chose this hotel because of the views , location and because it has a pool, which many others in the area don’t – perfect for relaxing in the early part of the day. Giuseppe in the dining area was friendly and very attentive, and Baba at reception was lovely too. Breakfast was nice, good selection and satisfying. It’s a small hotel that could benefit from some renovations, but thanks to the views, the great location, and the comfortable bedrooms and beds, those details didn’t really bother us. The terraces in the bedrooms are lovely sizes and have electric awnings, so you can choose to sunbathe or enjoy the shade – the views from ours was 👌 233 I believe they all have sea views.

Nice town with much to do in town and nearby. Go to Rapallo by train and take the aerial tram to see the church and eat at the restaurant with the most beautiful terrace about 200 yards through the trees on a path of enlightenment. Go have a drink by the castle for a lively scene and view.

Lovely sea side town. Very good ferry link for Portofino. Nice shops and good restaurants and are more reasonably priced than Portofino yet only takes 15 mins to travel there by boat. We went end of season in late September and there were a lot of locals swimming and enjoying the sea. I didn't get chance to walk between the 2 resorts but it looked flat and easy. Highly recommend a visit on the ferry to Santa Fruttuoso - stunning. can get busy when a big cruise ship arrives in town. The harbour is interesting and lots to see and people watch. some of the yachts are impressive!

We only stayed one night but walked along the beach and watched the sunset from the marina. We also visited the local shops and ate dinner in the restaurant next door which was excellent. We enjoyed the sunrise from our terrace. The pool was open but it is outside and unheated, so it was too cool to swim.

It was not as hectic as some nearby villages. But had easy access to the Cinque Terre by the train pass. Beautiful & clean. Lively atmosphere in the evening. Prices were a bit more reasonable as well.

Perfect place to stay if you want to visit Portofino. Relaxed and laidback. Promenade with lots of restaurants. Great beach. Ferry or bus to other villages. Feels Italian, not as pricey and touristy as Portofino.

Lovely little coastal town.

Lovely little coastal town. We had two nights here which was just the right amount. The highlight was the beautiful coastal walk to Portofino and we then took the ferry back to see the coastline from the sea. The town has some lovely restaurants and cafes and some beautiful but pricey boutiques.

Beautiful view from the kitchen and you can enjoy your meal admiring the sea, mountains and the city. The best possible location in Santa Margherita Ligure. Train station and bus stops right next door. Despite the central location, the bedroom is quiet. The apartment has everything you need for your holiday and a little extra. Paola is friendly and knows how to take care of the residents in every way. I highly recommend it.

Our trip began in Monaco, and honestly, Santa Margherita stole my heart — it’s the most beautiful town on the whole coast. I definitely recommend staying here, where you can walk to Portofino along the romantic “Lovers’ Path.” The hotel was charming and peaceful, with a lovely view of the sea.
