Saturnia is a lovely village about a 10 minute drive from Saturnia Natural Thermal Springs. A very quaint village with an excellent bar/cafe that overlooks the village square, (excellent for people watching) that serves great coffee and assorted cakes etc. The gelato is amazing!! A choice of restaurants, as well as a village piazza to walk around after dinner.

Saturnia has been a lovely place to spend a couple of days.

Saturnia has been a lovely place to spend a couple of days. We visited both the official Terme di Saturnia, but also the wilder Cascate del Mulino and enjoyed both (in different ways obviously). For the Cascate I would suggest going early in the morning on a weekday, so that they are not too crowded. While the official Terme are nice to be enjoyed at any time really, and the ticket to get in is not expensive at all on my opinion.

A relaxing break from the tourist spots around Italy.

A relaxing break from the tourist spots around Italy. Since you have to rent a car to get there we did not encounter many other Americans. The hot springs is as beautiful and relaxing as the pictures and videos you see on social media. There’s a quant town (Saturnia) down the road with a handful of restaurants and a beautiful square locals hang out in with the kids. Also close by is a hot springs resort that you get a discount day pass to with something like 20+ pools and full spa that we spent the day at. I can’t recommend this place enough. As a professional photographer it hurts me a little they don’t have pictures that do it justice.

Villa Giulia was absolutely beautiful. Ideally located to the thermal springs and the fabulous town of Saturnia. The room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped with bar fridge, tea and coffee facilities and huge bathroom. Daily servicing of the room was a treat. The hosts were so helpful and friendly. The highlight was the delicious breakfast. A massive selection of home cooked delights. We would highly recommend Villa Giulia. Sensational in every aspect

Very tasty breakfast, good ingredients, fresh fruits, juices, jams, excellent coffee. Great location a few minutes walk from the hot springs of Cascate del Mulino, private pool with hot water.Great, friendly staff. A shop in the hotel with choice of original oriental jewelry and other stuffs that shows a good taste and artistic spirit of the hotel owner. You can also buy fresh olive oil and wine produced by nearby farms.

Beautiful property and accommodation set outside of Saturnia. Our beautiful host greeted us with homemade biscuits and showed us into our well appointed self contained unit and then later returned when we came back from the Thermal baths with our breakfast basket full of goodies ready for the morning.
