The hotel staff and the location alone deserve a perfect 10. Breakfast was exceptional as well, and we had a lovely dinner at the hotel restaurant the night before we left (they served their own olive oil at dinner, and it was delicious). The chocolate fondant here was out of this world, and the pistachio-filled croissants at breakfast were our favourite. The rooms were comfortable and cozy.

100* for this beautiful, cosy, family hotel. I wanna be part of this family run place. If you looking for place in the heart of Sirmione you must book this! Location- just next to the thermal spa and few min stroll to the ruins, grotto & beach. Central yet just out of the tourist crowded centre. Margarita & Elio are the nicest people, you feel like you at home. Girls at the breakfast & bar ( Daniela) - so nice, service with a smile. Rooms great, food, service, information- great. Love this place, will never stay elsewhere. As I said 100* to this hotel. Thank you and hope to see you in October .

Lake Views from Every Angle

On a narrow peninsula protruding into Lake Garda, Sirmione is a wonderful town famed for its multi-turreted castle, Roman remains and hot springs.

The 13th-century lakeside castle makes quite an impressive sight as you cross its drawbridge to enter the old town beyond. From its walls there are lovely views across red-roofed buildings towards the trees hiding the ruins of a huge villa that belonged to 1st century BC Roman poet Catullus. Part of the complex included baths benefitting from the thermal waters, and the town still has a spa today on the opposite side of the promontory.

Nearby is the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore with its 15th-century frescoes, and the surrounding narrow, cobbled streets are home to stone buildings and several Sirmione hotels on Lake Garda. The majority of hotels are mid-range, but there are still a few 4 and 5-star hotels in Sirmione to choose from.

Booking.com also has lots of accommodation by the lake in the newer part of town, and its Lugana Vecchia area has a UNESCO World Heritage-listed prehistoric site.

To the west of Sirmione is the lakefront town of Desenzano del Garda, while to the east is Peschiera del Garda, close to the Gardaland and Canevaworld theme parks. The nearest airport is Verona Catullo Airport to the south-east.

    Sirmione was a real find for Lake Garda.

    Sirmione was a real find for Lake Garda. It has the amazing old town with its cobbled streets and history, but also has the newer town which has loads of restaurants and shops, as well as the marina. It is really easy to get to other parts of the lake from Sirmione, either by car or by boat, so it was a great base. It was also easy to get to other parts of Italy from there, so a great location.

    A beautiful place with numerous restaurants and cafés :) Also ideal as a base for exploring other towns on Lake Garda. For those travelling without a car, it is easily accessible by public transport :) It is worth taking a 25-minute motorboat trip, which offers amazing views, and also visiting the Grotte di Catullo :)

    Sirmione is a stunning town by far the prettiest on the lake. Restaurants & boat departure area all within minutes of our accommodation. We loved the restaurants Al Torcol, Trattoria La Fiasca & Tavernetta Maria Callas. We loved to visit a different town on the lake by boat everyday.

    Nice place to walk and enjoy the culinary experiences the restaurants can offer. There is a small grocery shop ran by father an son worth visiting, it offers amazing Salami and other meat products, Olive oils etc.

    Sirmione is quite packed by day with day-trippers. It's much more pleasant in the evening. I went in Sept which is slightly off-season. I would hate to see what it's like in the peak of the Summer.

    Beautiful town but very overcrowded with tourists.

    Beautiful town but very overcrowded with tourists. Good choice of restaurants and ice cream shops. Lots of nice shops to buy souveniers and clothes. Public transport to nearby towns ends around 7.30pm and it's difficult to find taxis. Uber is very expensive at about E30-E40 for a 10 min journey.

    Hotel is at a perfect location in short walking disance to Sirmione and Clombare center. Very kind stuff. The prive beach of tha hote at Garda lake is just perfect, beautiful with treas, ducks all around, clear water, shower, sunbeds small shop all availabe.     Breakfast was ok. Room and hotel generally clean. Location is not really the best choice, but hotel has its own parking free of charge. To Sirmione old town takes 15 minutes walking. Staff was very polite, welcoming and spoke German,english and Italian.
